Got my casio ediffice from flipkart for 6,100 bucks. Looks pretty good build but i found the weight a big disadvantage.
Hi,
I'm looking to pick up a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Grand Date
I checked out the local Helios store and the listed MRP of same is 76,000/-
The best offer they have is a 10% discount.
Tried ethoswatches.com and the MRP is same, but discount offered is 15%. However its only available in their Mumbai outlet.
I remember hearing of discounts as high as 30% on Tag Heuers..
What's the max discount I should be looking at now?
Please share if you have any reliable source offering authentic Tag Heuers at better prices.

10-15% is the normal discount offered in ADs. If you get 20%, then you are even lucky enough. The high discounts are normally on slightly older products or discontinued models.
The route to attractive prices can also be online with grey market dealers, but you are buying at your own risk. Safe and sound, buy at an AD with the complete package.
Recently bought this Casio. Poorman's G-shock!

gifted my self a Tissot T Race Moto GP edition (orange strap), from Tissot, Saket..
Not wearing today, so uploading a pic for reference from google.

I had almost pulled a trigger on Barcelona limited edition Sportura a few months ago. The quality is superb for the price like all Seikos. I instead bought a vintage Omega and had to let go of this purchase.
Go ahead, you can never go wrong with a Seiko.

Thanks and congrats on the Omega. The Seamaster remains a future dream for me :)
I had actually gone to check out the Seiko Velatura (yachting timer) collection, but sadly, the specific model I was looking for seems to have been discontinued.
The store people then showed me the Sportura, and I found this watch to be pretty awesome. There are similar model with the FC Barcelona branding on them, though did not like the additional branding on the dial too much. However, this particular model caught my eye. The build quality was excellent, nice attention to detail in general, and the all black design with one yellow hand was pretty classy and sporty. At just south of Rs. 30k, seemed like a VFM buy too. :thumbs up
Good to know that Seikos are regarded as reliable and hardy.
Picked this up yesterday :)
The classic..
Tag Heuer Formula 1 Black
After few failed attempts finally got hold of my first HMT. Its Janata and a beautiful watch. Received the courier few minutes back and it has already replaced Seiko Orange Monster on my wrist. Was skeptical about the watch strap quality, but it is decent. Looking to change the strap with something better (leather only) any suggestions?
here is the wrist shot taken using my mobile camera!
Was bit impatient, headed to few watch stores in search of a black leather watch band. After searching couple of stores and around 100 straps picked 18 mm Titan Victor strap for Rs.445/-. It had golden tang buckle, replaced the same from the original one:).
Couple os shots after the makeover

Congratulations on getting one of the loveliest watches to come out of the HMT stables! Da Vinci has said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" and the Janata just proves how true that statement is!
Since you've written that it was couriered to you, I assume that you bought it online? If you don't mind, could you share the name of the website and the cost?
Cheers,
Vikram
