Its been 6 years, and I had to get the battery changed twice so far. No other issues encountered. Everything works as day one.

Just got delivery of this cheap little new HMT - and somehow can't believe how good it looks! Steal of a deal priced at just Rs 697/- Attachment 2639828 Attachment 2639829
I wanted a classic, cheap, simple daily because I wear a fitbit tracker on the right arm for all other metrics. But this looks so good out of the box - I'm wondering if I should use it as a daily or keep it for occasions. Hope it lasts!
PS: This isnt a classic HMT - but for that I have a Kohinoor mechanical handwound which is very close to heart. |
Can you share the link where you ordered it from?
Hope it’s not OT for this thread. But it would be helpful if I could get the reference of a competent watch service/repair centre at Kochi. Need to get my Sieko5 serviced & it’s crystal (glass) changed.
For those in Trivandrum, the guy running Ramya Times is a good watch repairer. Not sure why it shows as “permanently closed” though.

Have been eyeing this for a while, the Citizen Promaster Skyhawk JY8149. There's also a blue and a beautiful green colorway but settled with black for its neutral feel. The lume is only second to Seiko but this Citizen holds its own.
Been a Japanese watch fan (yes the big C's and the S) for quite sometime now. I'm fascinated by Eco Drive and Tough Solar, so that was top of my list. Add to that, atomic time sync and you're good to go. The accuracy of this watch is remarkable - I check it with my phone and it's bang on accurate.
I said to myself no more watches but had to get one of these. Back in my school days I always wanted to have one like this.
And casio, who asked you to put a 100 meter water resistance in this one?
Few of my watches. From left to right Tommy, Tissot, RADO, Tommy, Citizen, G-Shock apart from the vintage collection HMT Pilot and HMT Kohinoor. Each watch has its own story and associated memories which make them all special irrespective of the price.
I was looking for a 20mm strap for a Titan watch. It is a huge shame and lost opportunity for accessories not being directly listed in product's webpage. only a few options available on their accessories page.
Came across few options at

Has anyone tried straps from Hello Art & Design? They are based in Thane, Maharashtra

Yes, I have a couple of straps from Hello and they are of excellent quality. Other manufacturers you can check are
WAMD for rubber and nato straps, and
Khisā for more traditional designs.
My first HMT. HMT tareeq (sunray blue).
Saffire Glass on My Rado watch fell somewhere, and I need to repair it, as the watch was purchased from abroad many years back, I don't have any warranty claims so please suggest a reliable service center/Shop where I can go for repair. Also want to repair/recondition a 20-year-old SEIKO watch, please advise.

Bought it online from the HMT official website.
To go with the Green Rubicon, I got myself the Marathon GSAR Jeep edition (
