Sodexho Food Coupons

Moderators i did not find any similar thread so started a new one.if threads do exists please merge it.

Now a days sodexho food coupons are accepted in many shops.

Like MK retail shop in bangalore where you can buy anything in that shop with sodexo coupons.
Big Bazaar also accepts sodexho coupons but only selected items.
Is there any other shops where you can buy mainly household items, furniture etc..with sodexho food coupons??
BHPians please give your valuable inputs

i was wondering if any fuel pumps accepts sodexho food coupons

It is illegal to use SodexHO vouchers for any purpose apart from food purchase.

Team-BHP to the best of my knowledge will not allow the posting of any information that is illegal.

a little .Some shops (mostly local super bazaars) charge you more than the MRP (typically a few rupees) when you pay with coupons.
Isn't it illegal. The retailer has the right to deny coupons for non edible items but charging more for accepting coupons is not right, I suppose.

BTW, (completely offtopic) what happened to that thread which discussed e-bay coupons.Did all get what they ordered with coupons.

Interesting coincidence.
I got a Rs 250 free voucher from Ebay.
Just bought something with it. My first purchase on ebay.
The email notification has promised delivery before 4 June.
Let me see.

As per my knowledge don't think its illegal.if its illegal then shops like Big Bazar will not entertain this.

Please read the user declaration part printed on the reverse of the Sodeh Ho Meal Pass.

I assume you mean the Meal Pass and not the Gift Pass.

Sodaxho can only be used to buy food related products. This is as per there agreement.
However, there are many local super markets which accept these coupons for any purchase.

Moreover, there are a few places where they charge x% over the normal charge when paying by these coupons.

I understand that that x% goes to Sodaxho.

Regards,

KFC (at least in Hyd) is not accepting Sodexho as they encountered receivables issues from Sodexho. This is what they told us when we tried to pay with the coupons.

I know of many supermarkets who accept Sodexho for both food and non-food items. Others supermarkets are particular and insist that only food items can be bought with it.

Sodexho and Tickets are passe.

These days it's food card that rules the roost. We use a HDFC food card and it works almost everywhere. Never tried it at non-food purchase outlets, need to do that asap

Its a breach of a civil contract between sodexho and the user - it isnt a breach of law. As such, it isnt really illegal.

Yes they are. We have HDFC Food Card, and we can load upto Rs 3000 per month which is tax free. Most of the supermarkets/shops used to accept these cards. I found them totally hassle-free, rather than waiting behind someone who goes on counting his Sodexho coupons.

But starting Apr 1, the card usage per day is restricted to Rs 100/day. A govt ruling, in order to ensure that the card is used only at cafeterias and not for buying Clothes at Westside!! (YES! The card works at Westside )

I think this will create a amount which can never be used.
Suppose you don't swipe for 7 days your 700 bucks get blocked. No way you can use them if limit is 100 per day and if the card is loaded for 3000 bucks every month.
I think there is some gap in understanding the product
