Levis- Is it what it used to be?

Ran into this thread via Google!
Miss the 517s, Tried the 527s and they're an Okayish compromise. Now even they are discontinued. Over the past few years been picking up Express Roccos from the US. The closest fit I've found so far.

Never thought I'd see a thread here about this though!

Forget the quality, all I know is when I went to their showroom 6 months back, not even a single category of Jeans was in sync with the narrow bottom trend popular nowadays. Haven't bothered going back since because I already knew their quality is nothing special, owing to wearing mostly Levis for more than a decade.

After some looking around, surprisingly Wrangler turned out to be the best fitting of all. Satisfied with the one I got, went back few days ago and picked 2 for around 2800 bucks at their discount store. Have observed that most people around me have moved away from Levis.
