1st gear top speed

so you are saying the 1st gear is taller than the 2nd for the 1.5OHC ?
dude...the 2nd doesnt touch a ton in a honda ..atleast from what i have seen..
according to you 1st gear has a range of 60k's and 2nd gear is surely limited to 98 k's (true speed)

Ikon does 50 in 1st gear at 6000 rpm and ecu cuts off instantly, 90 in 2nd gear at 6000 rpm, with 195/50 15 tyres ,
i want to check at 8500 rpm in 1st & 2nd gear , will my 0-100 timing will improve if rev limiter is raised to 8.5-9k rpm, cause the powerband of my stage 2 cam is from 4k rpm to 8.5k rpm ???

honda for sure dude goes around 58-62 in first...2nd however goes 100..98 as you said true speed...i have done it myself in a 1.5 ...
people who have 1.5 ..try it out..b4 havving overrev done you will touch 60 for sure

@ turbo lover : dude corsa will reach 55 easy and it will not affect the enigne for sure...engine gets affected only if you overrev...and our cars can go upto 6600 rpm..try it out..it will reach 55
best is when the car screeches while shifting to 2nd gear....car gets an amazing push...

would love to see a sail dragging with ikon...perfect drag race ...both have good chances...as ikon goes 50 in first ..sail goes 55 in first.
ikon goes 90 in second....sail goes 86-90 in second..

Ratios/kph per 1000rpm/kmph in each gear

1st 3.73/6.8 - 44.8
2nd 1.96/12.9 - 85.14
3rd 1.31/19.3 - 127.38
4th 0.95/26.7 - 176.22
5th 0.76/33.3 - 219.78

Above are true speeds of the 1.4L..

as for the wheel spins in 2nd -i get them sshifting up in the 5500 region also..
ideally for a drag chnage from 1st to 2nd in the 5500 rpm region you'll be quicker that way..

just tried it on my zen..the speedo reached 55 in 1st gear and as i thought of continuing the engine started making loud noise and every1 around started staring at my car wonderin what i was upto...so had to let go of my pedal...will try again in a free stretch and also try to wheelspin while shifting to 2nd..

try it out dude and trust me your car will reach 60...but make sure u shiift before overrevving..but do not shift too early...u might feel car being pushed alot..but do not shift to 2nd...or just overrev once so that you understnad the exact shift thing

56 KMPH and 100 KPH in 1st and Second Respectively...is what ACI tested for Baleno...no...I have no plans of doing it.... not till I get bored of the engine anyway

don't knew cars come with engine limiter which don't allow you to push the car above some RPM
not sure never tested but heard it

dudes...turbo lover was wrong indeed.....reved my car on the i max wadala road at 3 in the morning..
open road with a lancer trying to drag with me...rich dude with all the works...
i said to myself lets check dadudes advice and rev dragon {my city} in the first gear to her max..and guess what i touched about 58 59 in first till about 6500 rpm.....and then shifted in to second....and never red lined her at al...onl when i shifted and depressed the clutch did she cross 6800 just a bit...but i completly smokes the lancer....
that was damn sweet...so turbo lover i guess u start pushing just a bit more....
take care and keep left now if u see blue city behind u..specially is hes in first gear...
