I am missing option - Wife with Friends. Always a joy to go in groups when going long distance.

What about girlfriend turning wife?

I think you should also put in mobile phone.
Some ppl just can't drive without it ...

Early in the morning, an empty highway and a great car : ALONE. To really be at one with my car, I don't need distractions. Voted for alone.

Next best, with the family and / or my best friend.

Well i prefer driving alone, second with family and friends for long distances.

I need company for long drives, be it anyone (friends, parents etc), so voting for friends.
For short and fast drives I prefer to be alone, I don't want to scare my fellow passengers he he.

By Alone I meant , may be you would love to drive with mother in law or your neighbors house maid

Voted for friends.Prefer driving with them then alone most of the time but at times when i want listen to the sweet sound of music , be it the good old fashioned rock n roll or the exhaust note of the FFE i prefer to be alone.

I am not surprised that I am not alone in alone being my lone choice.

For me the thrum of a well tuned engine cruising on an open road is the most relaxing experience ever.
