Adya from your posts it looks like jeremy is your role model.

But I have just one (very compelling) argument.

Just as no one is putting a gun to anyone's head to watch his program, no one is putting a gun to your head either to read ill about him in this thread. You can just skip this if you like him so much.

Get it?

so I have to debate

If you want some more of the controversies that JC has been in, check him out on Wikipedia. Now I am not a JC basher (quite the opposite actually).
He is quite opinionated, but it actually doesnt matter for most people, because he is an entertainer first (both in TV and print),and admired for that. Most people know where to draw the line. Its those greens who dont, (like the banana girl) who are creating a big controversy out of nothing.

You know what? That's not such a bad thing. Even if I get to drive half the number of cars that Clarkson has, I'll die a much happier man.

I wonder why companies like Hyundai and Daewoo give cars to Top Gear to test. They know that they are gonna be bashed. Even then.... hmm. Interesting, isn't it?

Guys, how many of you have ever read JC's work? He pokes continuous fun at American cars, barring the Viper, certain British papers, comprehensive state-run schools, Tony Blair, Dido (called her Dildo), and some fat guy who is a Blair minister.

Please realise his USP is being offensive.

JKdas, you hate him. We get it. But he is entertaining, you have to admit!

Adya33, you don't hate him. We get that too. Why are you posting continuous edits with spellchecks?!

on a better note - JC is a typical BRIT, good entertainer and a very good presenter.

one more thing - as TOPGEAR is a british show, its obvious that they are gonna favor british cars -- same happens with the "GREAT INDIAN MOTOR SHOWS" - nobody from these shows will ever bash a TATA vehicle

PS: pun intended

hi adya 33,no i have absolutely no proof that the british car industry is paying jeremy but then that was my opinion-i didnt know we had to give proofs before posting our opinions on team-bhp!!thanks a lot for that piece of advice.
it looks just like that from the way he is praising the brit car industry that all.it may be a bbc show but still give some credit to the other manufacturers too!!

The fact that JC owns (and has owned in the past) a whole bunch of Mercs and is seriously considering the M5 prooves the fact that he is not biased against non-british cars. But yes he is biased towards British cars.

He doesn't love British cars. He loves British "establishment" cars. RRs, Range Rovers, Jags, Bentleys, all that jazz. Oh yeah, big loud Blackpool TVRs and Lotus too. He can't stand MG Rover.

Dunno about him, but his wife sure is. She is crazy about motorcycles. And apparently owns two of them. What a woman, no wonder JC was attracted to her.
