Wow another perry mason fan!! Do you really have close to 100 books of his. The ones by Earl Stanley Gardner is actually not so much. Many of the recent ones are written by someone else. Not quite good but still okish to read.

Yes, about 81 from ESG (picked the whole series in one shot) and close to 10-15 from A.A.Fair (which was the pseudo name under which ESG wrote but not Perry Mason series)

I have heard that there are 9 more books in Perry Mason series. Need to check what I have vs what I don't. A herculean task.

Perry Mason series,for me, is still my best read till date. Pick up any book and one can get hooked.

Any author suggestions for a Perry Mason (read courtroom drama mysteries) fan?

Recently completed -

Chasing the Dime by Michael Connelly - A good thriller. While at 75% of the book you know the WHY but the WHO still has a good twist.

Shadow of Power by Steve Martini (A Paul Mardini series) - A good intriguing start but a dull finish. One could give it a miss.

Just started

A Darkness more than night by Michael Connelly - Done with 50 of 400 pages. A good build up.

Since you're already reading Michael Connelly, if you have not already, try the Lincoln Lawyer & Brass Verdict. May not be to Perry Mason expectations but you can get your dose of good courtroom drama!

One of my favourite authors! Have read a load of books written by him. I'd suggest:

1. Christine - amazing book. Do NOT watch the movie.
2. Dark Half - Intense book
3. Salem's Lot - kinda like a normal vampire story but gripping
4. IT
5. Dead Zone
6. Green Mile

Thanks abhinav. Done and dusted with both of them in fact out of his sixteen novels believe I have completed ten. The only ones left are earlier writings like Black echo, Black ice etc which I'm yet to find or find at reasonable rates. Thanks anyways.

Though not courtroom drama, I found Keigo Higashino work to be good. Devotion of suspect X is his best work till date.

Try subscribing to Bookbub. It was recommended by a bhpian in the Kindle thread. I am unable to find that post. You will get a slew of new authors and some really good books which I would have missed if not for the subscription to Bookbub.

Completed today, "Three Men in a Boat" by Jerome K. Jerome

Reading in parallel and halfway through, "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham and "100 Selected Stories," an anthology of short stories by Anton Chekov.

I have now fully moved away from physical books and to Kindle.

I found 'Frederick Forsyth' novels in .epub format. So NOT all of them are in PDFs.

Every month we receive a box of Movies (DVD), Magazines and Novels on board the ship. This month we got these. I normally don't read novels but planning to start. Any suggestions from the ones in the picture?

Agree with KD007's suggestion to start with Lee Child (have you seen Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, BTW?), you can also try J D Robb (sort of detective based) and Steve Berry (thriller fiction type) ....
