I have filled up 4-5 times at this place , they seem to be OK,
never tired to act smart and always provide the automated bill without asking.

Just after Ramaiah palace on Jalahalli main road before you hit rind road.

HUGE bunk the left side. I have the name of the place written down.

Started the meter at about 1litre saying "Saar Zero" an started I just brushed his hand and nozzle aside before even a drop came out.....

Needless to say I complimented his mother and family before I drove off :)

Thanks nikhilb and selective, my experience at this bunk has also been good , and your experience just reaffirms that.

I am using this place from last 1 1/2 years. Seems to be good, haven't faced any problems. I always use normal petrol.

The same con job was pulled off on me by the HP Pump at Rethibowli Hyderabad. Had a suspicion then but confirmed now.

Never fill at Advaitha Agencies BP Petrol pump (A2B, BTM Layout).

They try to hoodwink you each and every time u go there. Thanks to T-Bhp, i was saved from those cheapsters that day. I never fill up there from then.

Surprising about Advaitha. They used to be one of the few decent bunks a few years back when I lived in BTM.

The Koramangala BP bunk near UTI bank is a good one. Unfortunately he closes early.

I still think the best BP bunks are the one opposite Manipal Hospital and the one in Jeevan Bhima Nagar. They run 24/7 and they don't cheat.

I stay in Vidyaranyapura, all the nearby bunks are very bad, to name few confirmed cheats,
1. This bunk near the bommasandra lake,
2. These bunks near the ring road on mathikere road ( as already said by someone, the address there says jalahalli service station or such).
3. The new one started on thindlu main road around tennis village.

I fill it up at HP bunk, near coca-cola factory near kodigehalli, have not faced any problems as yet.

As suggestions for a good one near Vidyaranapura? btw i have swift and use normal diesel that is not available in all places.

Are you referring to the IOC bunk? I am surprised, it was very good and I looked at no other bunk when I lived at Vidyaranyapura (2000 - 05). Can you elaborate on the specific problem you faced?

BTW where do you live at Vidyaranyapura? I lived on the road linking the Durga Temple and the Police Station.

Did you watch the TV9 scoop on how petrol pump attendants cheating the public caught red handed in several petrol pumps. The TV9 crew went in a customized bike which had a separate can so that the fuel directly went into this can from the fuel tank. This can was covered in black polythene cover and placed on the right side of the bike on a small stand. Very ingenious indeed.:D

Below are the list of fuel pumps which had a big disparity in the amount of fuel pumped.

1, Samiyulla HP pump- Chamarajpet-Mysore road. This Pump got the first place . They filled half a litre of petrol for 300Rs. The attendants got a sound thrashing from the public right there once they were exposed

2. phoenix petrol pump Oakalipuram
3. Bharati service station- Raj Bhavan Road
4. jawahar service station- Hudson circle
5. SMK petrol pump - RT nagar
6. Talam service station - mysore road
7 . Padma service station- sarjapur road
8. Anekar -Magadi road
9. Uday filling station- Binny mill
10 laxmi service station- padarayanpuram

The above stations duped to the tune of .5 ltrs to 1.5 litres when asked to fill 3 litres.

Yes I watched the scoop. It was good indeed. But what annoyed me was that the Petrol station association head (not sure his name) constantly said that it is the customer's duty to check whether there is any discrepency during filling petrol. I dialed the number in order to talk to him but couldnt get the line. I wanted to tell him that it is the petrol stations onus to make sure that the petrol is dispensed properly.

This guy started giving gyan and started comparing accuracy of dispensing machines in petrol stations with human heart and other things and said that all are mechanics and might fail from time to time. There was no one in the debate who could challenge him. I wish I had got the chance to challenge him, I would have ripped him apart lol:

I think he is expecting to carry a measurement instrument while in filling the petrol. We have some toll free no for complaing. Dont know those worked out or not :)
