I tried that.
When I go to Choose First Customer ID - Manage - Link Another Tag - It shows this screen with 2 Customer ID's already linked to my Mobile No (Pic1) .

I anyways select the 2nd Customer ID and click on Add - It gives the error (Pic2) .

So actually by "Link Another Tag" they mean - Link another Customer ID.
It shows this screen while adding and it clearly says it is adding Customer ID. Since both Customer IDs are already there it probably gives the error.

I even tried to check ticks for both customer-ids and clicking continue thinking that might merge the 2 customer ids. But that also gives an error.

Both Customer IDs are already linked to my Mobile number and show up in the Imobile-App but they are separate Customer IDs with separate wallets.
The problem remains unresolved.

In the meantime i tried their Call Center Numbers a few times to request them to merge the 2 Fastags to one Customer ID but the numbers are impossible to reach.

First year is like mandatory, even if you opt out - the benefits will be active for 1 year (so forget that 300rupees :)).

Here is the ICIC Fastag 101, from my personal experience:

Purchase:
1. Every new/fresh purchase of Fastag via any channel - web portal, imobile, pockets, Amazon pay etc always creates a new customer id and wallet and the new Fastag will be linked to this customer id.
2. If you want multiple Fastags under same customer id then you will need get into your ICICI eToll app under the given customer id and do a "add on tag" - this will add the new tags under same customer id for a simpler life.
3. Amazon pay Fastag and ICICI Fastag are one and the same and operate the same too - do not go by the false promises of Amazon pay Q&A.
Auto recharges:
4. Auto recharge setup on Fastag portal, eToll app, UPI etc etc allow only a fixed amount periodic recharges like weekly, monthly etc and not a low balance triggered recharge.
5. For an auto recharge that gets triggered when the balance gets low you will need to set it up on iMobile app only (not sure what non ICICI customers would do here, a big negative for them if you ask me)
6. The auto recharge setup mentioned above in point 5 needs to be done for every individual tag and set it up as a direct recharge to tag balance and not the wallet

I installed the ICICI Bank EToll app on my Iphone and tried this but tapping on the Add-On-Tag gives an error.

It seems things are really messed up in the Backend for ICICI Bank Fastag.

In the ICICI Bank Etoll App If I try to Change the Customer ID through which I have logged in by tapping on the top Customer Id to Link / Unlink Customer ID with the app, that too goes into a endless progress circle. I can see the 2 IDs in the background - probably detected by the connected Phone No.

I don't know if these errors are happening on IOS or it's the same for Androids too.
A simple thing like having multiple IDs under the same Customer ID and a single wallet is impossible.

EToll app has worked well for me - have done a delete data once on android, a reinstall on IOS may resolve your issue. Good luck.

I took ICICI fast tag and I have uploaded vehicle RC twice and I still keep getting message to upload RC or account will be deactivated message.

Anyway to check and confirm?

Refer my earlier posts in this thread. I had the same error in Android. There is a ICICI Fastag website but it also didn't worked for me as well. It won't even show proper error message. I finally reached customer care and as per them this can be done in their POS locations (don't know how far it is true) only. I happened to go near to their regional office which is nodal office for Fastag in Chennai and so got it done quickly. POS is available in many toll plazas. Please check their website for nearby to you.

I am getting the same message everytime, though I have uploaded the RC twice ( once while applying for the Tag and very recently when I saw the message for first time). I think we don't need to worry about this as Vehicle number is already there.

I last recharged my Paytm fasttag via gpay on 2nd March and it was used at a toll on 7th March. For now, the tag is working flawlessly. Has there been an update on the situation? What is the last day for recharges and use of Paytm fasttag?

ICICI Fastag systems have gone berserk it seems.
Today morning I have 3380 messages sent at around the same time, all to upload my RC, when the RC has already been updated.

I am beginning to regret going with ICICI for Fastag now.

Ha Ha. It seems with every login they add 3500 messages. Now I have also got over 9000 messages.
BTW did they add your second car to the same Customer-Id ?
I am not going to waste any more time with this stupid bank. I will just recharge both Customer-Ids separately.

I ditched my Paytm fastag and got Airtel fastag . Cost of tag is 100, deposit is 150. It is managed through Airtel app. All good so far.

PayTM is now offering a replacement tag with HDFC as partners for existing tags. It’s a FREE replacement with upto Rs. 250/- cash back on first recharge.

Got this information as a WhatsApp message from Paytm.

I ditched PayTm and got ICICI Tag last week. Tag was delivered in 2 days.
