5. Manual - highly specific to driving style

These are my personal experiences, I'd love to hear from the rest of you.
I guess thats the reason Honda decided not to provide CruiseControl on older CVT models, I was planning a retrofit on 2023 model

Re: What is the longest that you have used Cruise Control in India?

My longest uninterrupted stretches on cruise control were in Rajasthan and Gujarat, covering distances of over 50 kilometers. The Bangalore Mysore highway during off-peak times and the recently opened Palakode Dharmapuri part also offer good stretches for cruise control.

While I regularly drive a Fortuner, I recently used a Toyota Hycross with adaptive cruise control for a trip from Bangalore to Kerala. I found it much easier to manage, as it required very little intervention from the driver. I would love to have that on my Fortuner.

Re: What is the longest that you have used Cruise Control in India?

On the day of Holi, we did a 750 km round trip with our Fronx Turbo. (Details here https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post5943358 (Maruti Fronx Review))

The longest stint I drove with CC was approximately 177 km from Ashram in South Delhi to Outer Moradabad (till a left turn from Highway to enter Rampur). The road was almost empty due to the long 'Holi'day weekend. There were no slowdowns. The CC toggle was used to change the speed limits from 60 to 100. Unbelievable experience.

Like our previous 800 KM round trip to Khatu Shyam Ji mandir (details here https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post5877802 (Maruti Fronx Review)) majority of the drive was in cruise control only.

During the Khatu Shyam Ji trip, I was braking for slowdowns and tapping the CC button to re-engage.

But during the Almora trip, it was only CC Cancel and CC Enable.

Something or other keeps coming in front. Begs a question of its usefulness.

I have misunderstood the question. Longest without breaking would be about 20 mins even on Bangalore-Mysore highway!!

I find the system helpful on roads I know well. However, when driving on unfamiliar roads for the first time, I remain highly alert even when using it.

Without question, it is the section between the Kaniminike and Gananguru toll booths on the Bangalore-Mysore expressway (about 100 km). No other section has come any longer than that.
