There is also a video doing the rounds on WhatsApp. This video shows the installation of Db level recorders and how they are linked to the traffic signals.

Here in Pune - the city of knowledge - people will just start jumping signals out of impatience and while jumping the signal they will give a loud honk registering their protest.

Off topic - I have made myself deaf to horns since people have gained the OCD of pushing the horn button even in traffic jams, at red signals, in mall and office parking. Some people in my society even blow their (car) horn everyday just to announce their arrival.

The Automobile was made to move by pressing the Accelerator Pedal elsewhere, but in India, vehicle is supposed to move by pressing Horn.
