Re: Myself, Studies, Cabs and Caffeine

What a off beat thing you did amd enjoyed it too Tazman. Fantastic narrative. Amazing how our view of the world changes when we change places.
Regarding your last post about Indianauto walla's cheating. I would say they know whats in store for them. I mean it's not that take up driving a auto/cab and realize there's not much to earn/save amd hence they cheat.
You are not getting a "Stockholm syndrome" I guess. Just joking.

Re: Myself, Studies, Cabs and Caffeine

Nice thread Tazmaan, on the Bombay Auto guy making 600 bucks are day is incorrect, otherwise they would not decline fares so arrogantly. I would imagine they would make atleast 1000 bucks in a 12 hour shift. Maybe more, .

I am in agreement with the fact they live a tough life, and are used by the various unions. But that's a reflection on our society / system.
Would you have ever spoken rudely to any of your passengers during your cabbie days?

I don't think so

Tazmaan! What a thread! Not sure how I missed it. Rated 5 stars.

I am currently in Melbourne and could relate to so many things in your narration.
It was an eye opener for me and a newfound respect for the cabbies here.
Now I understand why some cabbies drive the way they do.

Any plans to visit down under?
