The M5 belongs to a friend, the M3 is mine. Personally, I prefer the M3 but then I prefer smaller cars. My friend loves bigger cars, so the M5 is clearly his preference. They are both great cars and both make you feel great EVERY time you drive them. Which you prefer is purely personal preference.

2) which one sounds better man!! i think people would really like to know!

3) did you feel the difference in fuel efficiency at all. not that it matters. just bmw claims that new M5 is 30% fuel efficent.and new M5 has 10 liter bigger fuel tank.

4) how much tax n stuff did you have to pay??

i heard the new M5 if unlocked (155 mph limit) can go beyond 200mph. wow!!
1. To a layman an M car is just a BMW. I have overheard two drivers discussing my M3 while I was gassing up once. Driver 1: "Yeh kya gaadi hai?" Driver 2: "Arre yeh toh BMW hai! Made in India!"

2. Both cars have fairly quiet stock exhaust systems, but the M3's is slightly louder and the M5 is more insulated inside.

3. There is NO QUESTION about whether the new M5 is more fuel efficient than the old one, it is VERY MUCH more fuel efficient! 500 Kms + range is easily doable with the new car.

M5 is around 1.3, M3 is around 1. The registration in MH alone is 18% of the showroom price. Octroi and insurance on top of that.

Did get to see a F10 M5 recently on 24 Feb'12 at Sion-Panvel Highway. At first sight it felt to a normal F10 but only that M5 badge, quad or dual exhaust and the rims got my attention. The owner was driving the car very sedately, I mean it and never did I hear any rumble all along. At times I feel pity on such cars as the roads in India are not worth it for such cars.
As I was driving alone couldn't take much pics, so at Vashi toll naka when traffic slowed down took some snaps.

Is the above car your friends, number MH01 XX5400? You and your friend should bring their car in Mumbai meets, it surely would be amazing.

Yup, same car. It now has blacked out rims and darker tinted windows.

Nice pics Mav ! That color just doesn't do it for me, I am hoping someone orders the Interlagos blue that most ///M models are advertised with. Any of those on order?
