This looks like the famous silver Supra from Bangalore. Is it so?

Naw, this is a KL reg.

hey nikibusa, that supra was spotted in Neelkanth Valley.Which is right next to somaiya college vidya vihar.

I think the guy is a dealer, there are many imports parked in the same spot.most of the times they are landcruisers and tercels etc so i dont bother taking snaps.

This is the second supra ive seen there and once i had seen a red acura nsx with an extremely loud exhaust note.Plus i see an audi TT parked once in a blue moon

PS:mods can delete the post if the location details are a problem

Why is the Supra from Bangalore famous?

What is a Toyota CERA ....One Of Ma Buddy Has one but he doesn't know weather it's F I or Carb even........:(

hey guys,

Just spotted a fully stock dark bluish green supra outside 'Croma', Juhu. It even had stock rims on it. Didnt see the interiors n dunno if it had any engine mods on it. but anyone have any idea who it belongs to??

I think its the same supra bought by the dealer who now has got the silver supra posted by RohitD.

Where is this dealer? I heard in santacruz.

Well i know of a White(not silver) Supra thats famous from here, famous for its shear power!! :D

The other day seen a blue and silver color MP registered Supra leaving st. Andrews college. Being driven by quite a young bloke.

I just read most of this thread, and rather then quote a million people, I'll just answer some questions.

The engine is solid to just over 1000 horsepower to the wheels. Some have gone further, but most stay under the 1000 mark and they hold together just fine for a long time. And someone said those numbers are on pump gas, that is incorrect, most/all HP numbers above 600ish(maybe up to 700ish) whp are on race gas of one sort or another.

The price of the cars is quite high as someone stated. It is absolutely true about the price going higher and higher every years since 2000. It is very hard to find one in good condition with a reasonable amount of miles(under 100,000 miles) for under 30k(in 6-speed that is, auto's are a little cheaper). They range anywhere from 25k to 120k depending on the state of modification, and original miles/condition.

The Skyline/RB26DETT is nice, but doesn't compare to the Supra/2JZGTE. While you can make a reliable 1000whp in a Skyline, it takes a decent amount of motor work to do so. In the Supra, you really do not need to touch the motor(relatively).

BTW, the Supra is one of my favorite cars overall. I've wanted one for many many years and almost bought one in 2001. I didn't and I missed a great deal, instead I got an NSX for business reasons, and now the Supras are twice the price they used to be. One of my next cars will be a Supra!

To have one with mega HP in India would be insane, I'd like to do it.:D

Its not fair comparing it to the skyline. in fact the Skyline or Evo would be easier to modify than the supra(no wonder they are the Jap favs!)

If you are talking about Shabbir's white Supra them I must tell you that there is another white one there which is also supposed to be pretty powerful.

Dippy has mentioned a silver one above.

A fellow BHPian told me about this one a few weeks ago. Did it sound like an auto or a manual?

Yeah i was referring to Shabbir's one. the other white one(i think the one spotted by Manish) wasn't even registered a month back, so im guessing its still stock.
