Thought as much. Had seen the car outside old Taj about two months back, when I asked the guards if it's his car they were like "nahi koi baahar vaale ka gaadi hai foreign log ka"

[translated : no, it belongs to someone from outside, some foreign people]

The dead giveaway was his trademark solid red W220 S-Class parked right behind the Maybach.

PY** ** 9999 is Dr.VM's car, this inform was from MB India. He wanted to avoid huge tax if its register in MH or KA. PY is having one of the lowest road tax rate.

Since when is saving your hard earned money being stingy? Personally, I don't agree with registering out of state either, but considering we get SFA from the Government, why pay them such obscene amounts to begin with?

Actually he earned the highest net profit from the IPL. He might own the losing team, but he went ahead and sponsored all the IPL teams, which ended up making him more profit than any of the other team owners...

I have sat and been driven around in a Maybach for a short distance in Pune itself, U-Turns wernt that much of a problem . I guess I have posted this before but will post pics and ride experience soon.

I think the Ambani one must be on Carnet scheme makes much more sense then the other theories that have been put up. Because it would be stupid of him to send it back after paying a whooper in Duties.

His car was locally registered. For him, a couple of cr's is equal to his bath taps in antara

Err I dont think anyone would blow up a couple of carores without reason. It makes more sense for him to buy another one there then pay duty on the car, transport it to and fro from India.
