True. one of my fav garages in the country. literally has all my favourite cars. though I'm kinda surprised by the owner going for the launch spec for the 812comp considering his other cars are uniquely specced.

The spec game on that car is quite wild and is far from the launch spec.

Noticed in this video where the leased limousines for the G20 summit in Delhi includes Genesis G90s. Pretty sure it’s not some random stock footage because I’ve seen these cars in another footage as well. Wonder how these ended up for lease in India, were they imported specifically for this event since there were news of a general shortage of limousines available on lease even after additional ones were brought from other cities like Mumbai or Bangalore or were they provided by Hyundai for publicity before launching the Genesis brand in India - since those seem to be manufacturer’s number plate?

Also, the price is kind of steep, that’s the selling cost for the G90 in the US.

Hyundai can do this. Given how they operate, it will be peanuts to use this event without paying for such exposure (my guess). It works well for everyone; there are few luxury cars with fleet operators, as most business owners own at multiple locations instead of renting out. But not everyone will use these like the President of America will have his fleet flown in.

I also saw some new Maybach, black coloured, the other day in that corridor. It was a pretty site the way these were being driven, followed by escort vehicles. It must have been a rehearsal of some sort.

There are a few W222 S Guards with German plates that have been flown in too. Saw couple of them near India Gate the other day. I have been seeing one or two examples of the Genesis G90L as well since last one week or so, and saw 5 of them together yesterday near Dhaula Kuan. But what really caught my eye was a massive black Peterbilt truck with huge chrome wheels and couple of Cadillac Escalade ESVs that I saw in Diplomatic Enclave two days back. These must be from the President of America’s fleet. Needless to say I refrained from clicking pictures due to the massive amount of security around these vehicles. The Peterbilt, though, was an ultimate swag statement in the roads of Lutyens Delhi.

I heard BMW has given over 100 cars - 7 and 6 series for this purpose to GOI. Dealers are cribbing for the allocations at this time Wonder what's going to happen with these cars after the event.

Hello fellow BHPians! I wanted to discuss the huge order of Audi A8L Security that GOI has placed for G20. It was mentioned somewhere in the news that all of them are directly ordered from Germany, which makes them imported. 400Cr+ worth of Audi A8L Security cars. The old price tag of it in India was 9Cr+ 7-8 years ago, I wonder how much they cost now? I have seen already seen videos of cavalcade, Rishi Sunak was picked up from the Airport in one of them. surprisingly Rishi Sunak's car had an MH 14 Number plate. I would like to know more about these Audis. What happens to them after G20 is over?

The cars were leased not bought as far as I recall, so the sticker price of all the cars could be Rs 400Cr, but that's not the cost to the government, and most likely someone will file a RTI to know how much the government has spent for cars pretty soon.
