1200 whp? Then it's almost 1411bhp, considering the whp/0.85=bhp thumb rule, although this is just an estimate since every car's whp to bhp ratio is different and depends on a lot of factors.

The Doc's GT-R from Ahmedabad is tuned to 1000 or 1200bhp. Also the Silver GT-R from Mumbai is 1000bhp (don't know if this is the same car).

I (with the help of someone with deep knowledge on the car) can safely say this baby will beat the UGR TT hands down in a 1/4 mile drag, MAYBE even in 1/2 mile...
Post that the Turbos on the Gallardo would kick in and whoosh!

Is this the same GT-R as the one below? If so, then its the same car which had participated in one of the editions of Parx Supercar Rally.

Kill me if I am wrong, but aren't these figures just for bragging rights, I mean, anything above 500 bhp is hardly usable. Also what are the 0-100 figures of these cars churning 1200 and 1500 and 2000 horse power?
I think its a lot of stress on the engine and other components. Not questioning the technology behind these figures, why don't the manufacturers themselves sell cars in these states of tune?

The manufacturers sell them with the regular/fair usage POV. These cars are more of drag-spec, once in a while or weekend usage cars. And every time you use them to the fullest, it creates a lot of stress on the engine. The fact that their power output is way too high for the engine capacity sums it up.

Exotics, even if driven daily in the perfect atmosphere and roads, will cause lesser engine damage than these cars. Although such tuning packages come with engine reinforcements, you end up servicing the car more often. It's more or less the same as a sports athlete on performance drugs.

Some people do the Modifications for bragging rights, but the owner of this GTR is someone who loves speed and modifies his cars for his own use and not for bragging rights. The GTR throws out the power only when you step on the peddle other wise she drives just like any stock car and is taken to work too in traffic.

This perticular car has gone through alot of modifications and when driven as per its requirement there is no engine or component stress. Nizmo which is the sports arm of Nissan just like M and AMG does modify its cars, but sadly not in India and hence other Tuning companies are looked into.

This might be little off topic but I just saw a video from AMS where they did a 1/4 mile run in just 7.86 seconds.

Does 0-60 in 1.72 secs :O

The Doc's GT-R from Ahmedabad is not tuned to any such figures. It is all stock except those JDM PassWord exhausts, and I am sure exhauts do not give such a huge bump.

Wasn't it spotted in Dubai getting tuned ? I think it popped up on TeamSpeed or somewhere, and the link was shared here.

What your talking of is the AMS GTR of Bombay and not any other place. She is the only one as yet with a 1000 bhp + under her hood.
