IIRC there was a red DL 599 which has been doing rounds all over the country seeking an owner. I think it came down to Bangalore even. I heard the sale never happened cos the car had some issues with its electircals.

Yes this is the same car. The car atleast when it came to Bombay had no issues till date. It was purchased in Delhi by MA and then brought here. I heard Spiderman was considering getting a 599 or a california for himself and hence drove this car for a few days to get the feel of it, but as we know at the end he bought himself the 458 spyder.

though one might want to buy the latest of the ferraris - it still stumps me how someone might not fall in love with the 599!! i mean it looks simply gorgeous! and i've heard it drives even better!

Yes, the 599 has been discontinued and the F12 is the replacement. This is not a new car.

M.A. comes from a very well off family and the movies are not his main source of income. I was told he owned a 911 before the Ferrari.

The car has been discontinued but you still get them in the second hand market, this is one of those cars.

I think it has to do with personal choice and some dont like the long bonnet or the v12 for India. I have also heard S.D.'s car is also giving trouble and thats one reason she was not present for the SCC event this year.

This pains to see. It reminds me of the red F430 which was spotted being done up at a roadside garage. Why cant they afford proper service when they can afford a Ferrari?:banghead:
