Because, I was not expecting such a big car to have a petrol engine. Not like it cannot have it but just going by recent trends and that most big cars have diesel heart nowadays.

It's all in public domain. If you have a car's registration number than you can get the details by going to various govt.department websites.Any literate and a little internet savvy person can do that.
For that matter, even masking of the registration plate is not a must.

RR passenger car engines have never used diesels.
Its got something to do with their "the loudest/only thing you'll hear at 60(?) mph is the clock" philosophy...
cute.

My apologies. I was not aware of that.
But Rolls Royce is working on a diesel car?

ok, that's nice philosophy and diesel engines can't be silent after all. But is this a Phantom Coupe? The pic of the other RR posted in the previous page looks to be Phantom Drophead coupe

This isin't a Phantom Coupe as the Phantom DHC is a white coloured one. This looks to be one of the RR Phantoms owned by owner of Banjara Hills based Super Mall, the ONE and only ONE huge mall. Have seen this entering his house on the same strech a number of times.

OT

Rolls Royce used to produce diesel engines for Heavy vehicles,EMV's and locomotives until the division was acquired by Perkins in early 80's.

Rolls Royce plc, which is now a public limited company manufactures Aircraft engines,Marine Systems and Power Generation equipment.

Yeah AFAIK this is the third Extended Wheel Base Phantom in town the other one owned by DC and one more by a Real Estate Magnate. Two Black and One Maroonish Shade who's pics were Beautifully covered by fellow Bhpian Shyn sometime ago. And, Apparently all of them have a Hand Painted Double Coach line!

And I think The Indigo Blue Ghost who's picture I have posted also belongs to the same person who owns this particular Phantom. I used to see this Phantom almost everyday near Begumpet when I was in Town and Yeah Nikhil Bhai he does own that One and only Huge Mall in Banjara Hills.

By the way guys, Huge SCOOP ! A friend of mine called me up at 2:45AM saying he saw a Black coloured Low Slung Super Car with Growling exhausts climbing up the Whisper Valley Road last night and by the time he could take a U Turn and follow it back it was gone. Dejected he started searching frantically through the streets of Jubilee Hills when It finally re-appeared in a dark street somewhere in Jubilee Hills entering into a Mansion, he could only catch a glimpse of it and I asked him to describe how the Car looked and he told me it had some Wing like contraption which folded while entering into the Mansion and only then did I make an assumption that it was the elusive Black Raging Bull which was earlier spotted by fellow BHP'ian Ze_Stig's friend on the ORR. Sorry he couldn't manage to take any pictures of it as the streets were way too dark. Anyways, Got my camera ready and I am on a look out for it !

Yes, have read about the EV based on Phantom. But RR was also working on a diesel engine. I found one link here , code named RR4, based on BMW 7 series but am not sure if it has seen the light of day
Diesel Power for Rolls-Royce’s $250,000 “Baby”? | Autopia | Wired.com

Thanks for that link, I wasn't aware RR was looking forward to develop a Blue-Performance Clean Diesel Engine and the Article talks about the Baby RR or the Ghost being equipped with it. Its been two years since that article was written and there is no news of a Diesel RR yet but maybe in the future ? Can't tell.

Do you call this a SCOOP, I would call it Breaking News.

Even my bike makes a Growling Sound, while climbing Wishper Valley Road. Albiet, it growls because of the excrutiating pain it has to take in order to climb that road.

Jokes apart, I would not be surprised if your friend has seen it on that road as this road is the most frequented road by exotic car owners due to its connectivity with Gachibowli and ORR. I have seen White RR's, Bentley's, Battered to Death Maserati and lot more plying on these roads during any time of the day or night. So, I would never raise a suspicious eye towards the news, as this could be very true.

Any leads about where this Mansion is? Could be a breakthrough in the Operation Spot the Black Lambo. Given the location of the mansion, we can atleast guess who owns this & keep a strict vigil at that location like those paparazzi's, to capture the elusive Raging Bull.

A Black Car with Black Alloys in pitch darkness, I really doubt if your friend could have made out which Unidentified Zipping Object it was. Keeping fingers crossed to spot this elusive one.
