The SL55 AMG comes with a 5.5 litre Supercharged V8 By far one of the best cars I have driven. The SL600 has the V12 while the SL65 AMG gets a bi turbo version of the V12.

The SL 600 has V12 Bi Turbo and not a naturally-aspirated V12

The SL600 has a Twin-Turbo 5.5L V12 while the SL65 gets a Twin-Turbo 6L V12.

I know that. What I meant was that the engine sizes are different. Btw, please do create a thread for your SV.

Are you sure?
Coz I'm not.

Yes, both will have a grand total of 2 turbos, however there might be a difference in the configuration?

I'm not sure what exactly that difference is, and whether it is a difference that is denoted in standard classification or whether each brand / marketing team just throws around whichever term they feel like using?

However, some possible differences could be :

1) Two identically sized turbos vs one small (for a quick spool-up) and one larger (for more higher rpm boost)

2) One turbo per bank of cylinders (eg. on a V6) vs both turbos on a single bank (I6)

And yes -- review of all your cars please!! Especially pictures!

Its one same thing. The Twin itself means the Bi, there's no any reason different things to be called with one name.
The names we're looking for are Parallel(twin- or biturbo) and Sequential(twin- or biturbo). This is explaining the difference in the working of the two types of turbocharging.

And what if its quad-turbo? How the four turbos are going to be situated? You would say in the twin-turbo or bi-turbo way? That even doesn't sound well. Its gonna be parallel or sequential...

BTW congrats Varaman on the new ride, looks great. Treat her well and enjoy.

Very perceptive of you - they are the identical wheels as on the Maybach Exelero... here's a picture of the Maybach with the same wheels: Maybach Exelero

Re: My Mercedes SL500

Varaman : If I ever owned such a car, I don't know how I'd ever let go! Just the thought scares me.

Importantly, what's the replacement
