Guess i'm too late to the party. This is the most ludicrous piece of automotive journalism I have ever seen or heard of. 6600 bhp? And what on earth is this?

"Dr. Prasad is in the business of airport development, Seaport development, infrastructure and many other businesses that take him places. He has a passion for large and fast cars. In his stable are the following cars -- Range Rover, Lexus -3 in number, BMW X5 SUV, Mercedes S class and Porsche HTS and many other cars of whom which he has lost count. "

Ok i'm laughing so hard my stomach's aching. ROFL!!!

The house of Dr. Prasad in Kadri Kambla has become a pilgrimage centre for the auto enthusiasts as people belonging to all age groups are making that trip to caste their eyes on the legend that is Hummer!
So guys, forget going to Modena, Maranello, Fiorano, Sant'Agata, Stuttgart, Munich, Ingolstadt and Zuffenhausen.

Book your bus tickets to Mangalore.

BTW, check out the spelling of CASTE.

[quote=preetam_KORG;1611087]The quotes from the article to the picture above:

"Speaking to Mangalorean.com Dr. Prasad said he was fascinated by the power of Hummer. "This Hummer has a monster of engine churning out 6600 BHP (Most powerful automobile in India -A Volvo B7R passenger bus has only 4500 BHP). This is delivered by a V-8 engine which only Range Rover has in its class," he said. V engines are fitted in only muscle cars. In India only Hindustan Contessa had a scaled down V -6 engine."

It makes me furious to hear such stupid journalism, and what a waste of time, coverage and effort on all the elements involved in this redundant story.

Firstly, the guy is a UAE return, nothing great as we have countless of those, and whats the big deal about him bringing his Hummer from there. I mean we have and seen many more of the same in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and the Dr.'s Hummer will have to go back in 6 months because its LHD. No big deal, and too much hype about nothing.

Secondly, who hired that moron of a reporter, for documenting his stupid facts and claims. Clearly this is some country bumpkin in Mangalore, isolated from the bustle of the auto industry we experience in Tier-1 cities. I dont even want to touch on the BHP figures as it is a waste of time, and come on, what sort of a claim is that only muscle cars have V-engines. Someone please shoot this guy, for saying that dumb, idiotic, Contessa comment towards the end.

FYI, V-engines are available in many cars in India today, in Benz's, BMW's, Audi, VW Touareg, Porsche, Volvo and even Toyota and Honda have V-6's.

Considering the state of highways in Shirady Ghat and Mangalore Udupi stretch the Hummer was the right choice" says Dr. Prasad.

And this???
A Hummer doing 200 Mph is known to exist only in Mars maybe...
What were these auto journos thinking ?
And how many spare fuel tanks filled to the brim are to be carried along, for the gas guzzler to attain those speeds?!
