Found this in my old archive. This was taken at Ali Car garage, in Kormangala 4th block, believe it was 2007 ..!! Lotus Elite.. was definitely bigger that what the pic portrays.

These things in its time were really way ahead of competitors.
This looks like the type 83 4-Seat ELITE II.
Really nice, what was this picture doing with you unattended?

It is a Lotus Elite imported from Oman. It has been in Bangalore since 1986. Belongs to someone who lives in the town centre. Spoilt with the twin pop up sunroofs though.

Being a Lotus means lots of niggles

you should go to EGL Techpark, Bangalore. The guy who owns that place got an amazing collection of vehicles.

As far as I have seen:

BMW 7 series -2
Hummer -1
Range rover -1
Merc - several
BMW 3series Coupe -1 and many more....

... His cars are parked in the MS basement. He lives in a penthouse there. The basement is as exotic as it gets. A fest for your eyes.

saw a rather poorly maintained AP registered white cayenne at banshankri yesterday. The car looked pretty old and i have spotted the same car couple of times earlier too around the same area close to mindtree office.

whoa what a fabulous catch with the rare lotus elite, i remember seeing one in Goldenish/yellow in Mumbai, opp the WIAA club at Malabar Hill..real vintage gem.

That was the Elise and not Elite. That car was white and belonged to H.T. and used to stand at Walkeshwar. Now the car belongs to someone i know. A similar red one belongs to Jackie Shroff. There also is the Eclate in Bombay.
