Volvo V40?

Bottom-right corner of the windshield gives it away.

Nope. Gannu is right. It is indeed a Volvo V40. I spent a weekend with a TD vehicle and can vouch for it.

A little but thought of sharing anyways.
A beautiful gesture by Lamborghini Bengaluru taking this cancer fighter for a spin!

Quote:
How do you brighten up a 14 year old cancer fighter's birthday? Ask Lamborghini Bengaluru!

The good folks at Lamborghini Bengaluru and Make-A-Wish foundation recently associated to make a young petrolhead’s dream come true.

Aarav Bhansali, an avid Lamborghini fanatic was treated to a drive in a gorgeous Bianco Icarus Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 on his 14th birthday in Bengaluru, India. Aarav, who is undergoing treatment for leukaemia, was driven around Bengaluru in the Huracan and was given a tour of the showroom on his birthday.

Lamborghini Bengaluru went out and sent a car to pick Aarav's and his parents up. On reaching the showroom,he was treated to a cake and was presented with a scale model of the Huracan. Then, the surprise of the day, the pristine white Huracan was pulled out and readied for a drive around the city. The 10 km drive that lasted for nearly an hour had Aarav all excited and eventually he was seen grinning all day long. Mr. Pavan Shetty, Head of Operations, Lamborghini India flew down from Mumbai solely for the purpose and was Aarav's driver for the day in the Huracan. Aarav waved out to the children which passed alongside, from the comfort of the passenger seat, all excited and pepped up from the exhilarating drive in the 600 ‘horse’-powered Bull. Mr. Shetty, who drove him around, said it was as memorable an experience for him as it was for Aarav.

While such gestures are commonly reported abroad, such an event is virtually unheard of in India, possibly making this gesture by Lamborghini Bengaluru the first of its kind in the country.

“We were contacted by Make-A-Wish foundation and were more than happy to help! Aarav is a very bright child and knows his cars pretty well. We wish him a speedy recovery" said Mr. Shinoy Simon, Sales Head of Lamborghini Bengaluru.

We hope Make-A-Wish foundation and the gentlemen at Lamborghini Bengaluru continue to associate and fulfil wishes of many more petrol heads in the coming future.

Aarav, meanwhile, is being treated at Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru and we at Autogespot sure know that his day with the Baby Bull will motivate him to a speedy recovery.

PS- We were able to retrieve just one picture of Aarav in the Huracan from the media. We are working on getting a few more. Also seen is Pavan Shetty, Head of Operations, Lamborghini India.

An excellent gesture indeed. Very nice of Mr. Pavan Shetty and Mr. Shinoy Simon to make this kids dream come true. I wish him a very speedy recovery.

Awesome.

It is indeed headed to a close friend's garage in KL.

We've been waiting with baited breaths for it to reach B'lore.

Now for a lil' freshening up at Racetech and we'll go pick it up

as I am ignorant of the following. How do these cars get transported from one city to city? Being the costly ones, is it not risky to move these in cargo trucks?

They are usually transported on flatbeds. If the distance is long, they go in container boxes. As risky as it is, there isnt a possible alternative. Unless one wants to airlift it which would cost a bomb

A week ago, I saw a blue 991 Turbo S being driven into one of these, somewhere on Railway Parallel Road.

Stunning car in person. Looks low and quite wide. Fantastic stance. Great colour too.

I was under the impression this car had left as soon as it had landed?

That car belongs to a Porsche collector who lives around that area. Had seen it once coming out of the house. Looks amazing!

While I m not sure why was it being loaded into the container, I doubt its sold. Gone for a service maybe?
