| ![]() Got back a while ago. What a brilliant sunday morning! Unfortunately I couldnt get my VIP pass, because of some blunder my name wasnt on the list. Anyway that was fine. This year there were a couple of new entrants and a few cars missing. The 458 was by far the star of the show, and then the LP. A couple of cars had cameras in and around them, hopefully well get some good footage. The exhausts on the GTR and the Quattroporte were incredible. It was great to see the owners enjoying their cars to the max. The highlight of my day was driving on the sealink and tryin to keep up with the 458, GTR, Gallardos etc. What a sunday. Cant wait for the pics. Last edited by GTO : 27th January 2011 at 09:22. Reason: Removing line on speeding on public roads. Please avoid |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ferrari 458 Italia Dedicated thread to 458 Italia sightings : Ferrari F458 Italia in Mumbai! EDIT: 458 Pics on pg2 + VIDEO pg7! The star of the show was undeoubtedly the 458 Italia. The reason being it was the newest car on the block and also the best sounding one. The yellow color was a welcome change from the usual red that everyone has been buying around in Mumbai - good choice GS. The only other non-red Ferrari that I remember was Spiderman's yellow Ferrari 360 Spider. All of GS cars, especially the 458 were well guarded by hefty bodyguards. They had strict instructions not to allow anyone to touch the car. The car was parked at the entrance of the venue and was a treat for everyone. It was easily the most clicked car of the event. The front of the 458 looks no where similar to its precedessor - the 430. Some may find the design very quirky with those wierd shaped headlights - but to each his own. ![]() Ferrari has moved from a twin exhaust on either side to a triple exhaust in the center. Notice carefully the center pipe is smaller than the other two and also placed a little bit inside. Although this was a stock exhaust - the note was very sporty and sharp. ![]() Look at the side profile below the window sill - and this car will remind you of the Enzo. ![]() Just like the moved from a 4-pipe layout to a 3-pipe, the new trend seems to be a single round tail-light on either side. The best part is this unit holds the brake-light, reverse lights and turn indicators. Truly an innovative design. ![]() ![]() The front wings are not for show - they do play an important part in generating downforce in speeds excess of 125 mph. The prancing horse logo, althouhg looks like a cheap aftermarket addition. ![]() ![]() Yes - Saint Gobain glasses. ![]() ![]() All those vents are there for a reason - and the reason is definitely not cosmetic. ![]() Last edited by v12 : 23rd January 2011 at 23:21. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() I probably had one of the best days of my life driving with the supercars! Many might have spotted my Polo with the LTD sticker. Got many thumb-ups ![]() To begin with....the 3 stars of the event! Just as this signal turned green, it was pure NIRVANA!! ![]() Last edited by theragingbull : 23rd January 2011 at 15:18. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() The T-Rex Aero 3S Dedicated thread here : Pics: T-Rex 14 RR in Mumbai (Aero 3S) Last year it was the Can-Am Spider which was the most unique and eye-catching bike/car at the show. It was really missed this year - but the Aero 3S definitely made of for its absence. The Can-Am looked very decent and did not have much design curves. The rider sits on the Can-Am like a normal bike. With the T-Rex its a different game altogether. The similarity ends at the 3-wheels and a superbike engine. What the T-Rex has more is a very "love it or hate it" looks. Some may call the design very alienic, some may call it very insect-ish. All in all it did gather a lot of wierd looks from people. The T-Rex also has a windshield, doors, and luggage bags on both sides. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by v12 : 23rd January 2011 at 23:29. |

| ![]() Thats a great pic Zohaib. It was nice seeing you. Also met speedy, he was riding in the elise. And im sure GTO and Rehaan will post some good pics, as will flyingspur. The turnout was a little disappointing for me, of course besides the above 3 cars. There were just so many other cars which didnt show. I think this may be a quarter of the supercars in Mumbai, maybe even less. |

The car has been really well maintained and well driven going by the condition of the front bumper. The front bumper is the first thing to get scraped on any Supercar on Mumbai roads. The looong bonnet does give the 599 a very classic look. ![]() Simple yet elegant styled headlights. ![]() Not the best angle on the 599. ![]() ![]() ![]() The 599 looks the best when viewed from rear quarter. ![]() ![]() Last edited by v12 : 23rd January 2011 at 23:41. |

| ![]() more than any other car i just loved the lamborghini gallardo se - the yellow one with the carbon fibre roof and the 358. the maserati guy seemed to love revving the car and caught the attention of everyone at the babulnath rd signal. I guess akshay1234's accord was right behind him that time. the gtr is incredibly loud and i was surprised to spot the focus rs too. why did the TN reg lamborghini SL not participate?? and i also spotted Mr.TATA in his red Ferrari spyder LHD (i guess) but he did not seem to participate but took a turn from the babulnath signal rather than going towards walkeshwar. nevertheless the cars were a treat to watch and drool over. ![]() |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() The Ferrari F430 Although 2 of the regular participants (123 and 430) did not turn up at the event - they were not missed. All the 3 Ferrari's that were present at the event were Coupe's. This Delhi registered 430 was spotted for the first time. Not sure if this car resides in Mumbai or is here on a visit. ![]() The Pune registered 430 has been participating in the rally since 2010 and was also present for the Mumbai-Pune run. The only diffrentiating part from the other 430's was the carbon fibre rear panel. ![]() The Chandigarh registered 430 was tuned by Race Tech and had a huge sticker on the rear window. ![]() ![]() ![]() Look carefully, the number 430 is inscribed only on the RHS mirror. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by v12 : 24th January 2011 at 00:48. |
