When I enquired about the bike here in Chennai Garware Motors Indira Nagar, they said they have delivered 16 bikes as of now and they have 9 more booking for the GT and they delivered 9 bikes for the cruiser.

Also when I enquired for the service schedule and costs he told me every 4000kms or every 2-3 months which ever is earlier, and average service cost is 4000-5000 each time, I was shocked. I told him that's around 20,000/year which is twice the service bill of my Laura and to which he wittedly replied, 'this is a premuim bike sir'
The cost is because they are changing the engine oil with full synthetic, which amounts to around 1200 rs / lit, so 3 lys will be around 3600 rs. You can use semi-synthetic and it will bring down the service cost to around 2000rs per 5000 kms

When I suggested that they kept saying, thats what Hysoung told them!

Wow nice - how much did they cost you? I was planning to get them for my GT 650R as well... By the way, I've a red one too; bought it last year, but have done only 1000 kms in 1 yr.

And, on a side-note aren't 6000K too bright and blinding for others?

Only 2150? They charged me 4500 in Bangalore!

And, does your machine heat-up quite a bit? Mine really blows off hot-air - so much so that in crowded streets, bikers next to me start feeling the heat!! (I'm talking about extremely crowded streets of course!)

Yes the bike tends to heat up a lot.Its advisable to immediately shut of the engine when standing stationary at the traffic signal.

1HID bulb with wiring and ballast costed Rs2,500 of OLLO brand, which comes with 10mths warranty.

I wanted to install 4300K xenon lights but they are difficult to get,so went for 6000K xenon lights. No they aren't blinding on the opposite road traffic, as they are fitted on the stock projectors.

Re: My Hyosung GT650R.

Melroyal, I read both your threads, this one and the one where in Garware mechanic crashed your bike.
Did you get a favorable response on your court case against Garware? Are you currently riding a new GT650R or have you got your old bike repaired? I am asking this because I couldnt figure out what is the final outcome. Thanks.

No bro I'm riding the same GT650R after getting it repaired at my own cost. The case went on in Mumbai Consumer Court for 9mths, against the dealer.During the court proceeding the dealer then agreed to get the bike repaired by claiming the vehicle Insurance and then paying the remaining difference in amount,I declined the offer.Later No order was passed by the Mumbai court. To further pursue this case, I will need to put it up at Ahmadabad Consumer Court.

Re: My Hyosung GT650R.

Even though I'm about 10 years late, congrats on your GT650R .

How's it holding up now? Would you recommend it as a good second-hand buy?
