My biggest grouse as well ! but hasn't stopped me from going ahead and booking it. The only 600+ cc bike that is sold and supported through a professional dealer network. And I have made up my mind. The first thing I'm going to do as soon as I get it is to repaint it red. The red ninja sold internationally looks awesome.

Any recommendations on a good workshop in Bangalore to do this ?

Makes operational & economical sense to stock spares only in one colour for the company. Specially when they dont have the quantities to justify the scale.

They don't have to stock for each color as long as they have a paint shop for all colors. On order for the spares, they can always paint and send it to the dealer.

Reininchoas, when is your bike going to be delivered. I checked with PBK, it seems we need to wait for the RTO approval.

You are right. I'm expecting it by late next week.

Got hold of an Autocar September edition and they have compared Ducati Monster 795 and Kawasaki Ninja 650. Winner is Ninja 650 :). Checkout September edition for more details.

Taking delivery on Sunday but bike's registration is in a limbo because of the RTO strike across Uttarakhand and UP. Can get the bike to Bangalore only after the reg is done.

Best of luck for your next draw. I still think the whole process is a stupid circus. This is not the way to treat premium customers.

The display bike has arrived at A'bad PBK. Please go check it out.

Thanks for the pics. Bike looks great but that saree guard looks like a bear cage door. :Frustrati Why does a super bike need a saree guard, waiting to see someone with a saree sitting sideways on a superbike.

Hi ROC,
Great choice of machine!!!! Congratulations.
I would not change the colour to red in a hurry. I too did not like the Candy Lime green & preferred both the other options available internationally but will swallow the green which actually is NOT AS BAD AS IT APPEARS in the pictures.

Six machines were delivered in the end of August by PBK in Mumbai and the next lot is expected by end Sept. There is also talk of launching the bigger street 1000 in future which would be the machine I would hope to upgrade too:)

Check out the awesome Saree guard & the flimsy front number plate bracket!!!! You have to pay for the left grab rail which actually comes in the kit so essentially one is paying 1000 INR for that brilliant Saree guard which most guys will gift PBK!!

Finally All this seems worth it as its a beautiful machine at a great price.

Archaic Indian laws, What else.

All owners have asked for the second grab rail, which is an accessory and has to be bought separately.

Thank you. This is what almost everyone is telling me - 'the green is not as bad it seems to be'. I actually dread getting used to it lol:

Sajan,
If you notice closely, the left side does not have the grab rail like the right one. The saree guard converts into left side grab rail. So if you remove the saree guard, then there will no grab rail on the left.
So to have that, they need to buy it as separate accessory costing appx 700-800 INR.
