Finally got some free time and fabricated a bracket to mount Power Vision on the bike .
Started with old piece of sheet metal 14gauge. Fabricated a custom mount.
Had to dig out my old computer hardware to find screws small enough for the threads provided on the LCD screen. Although the unit came with screws but i guess i have lost them.

Let the pics do the talking.

Also my throttle was feeling hard to twist and was not returning , did little bit of inspection and found it to be rubbing with switch case ( from inside) . made a little bit of clearance by rubbing switch case inner side with a file and little bit of geese did the trick.
All good and soft now.

For those who thought Sportsters were not real Harley!
Just found out that Hells angles Sonny barger and most of the original gang preferred and rode Sportster , although most of them had upgraded to big inch motors!

Another Sunday , another good DATA collection day! ( All data collection done on Private road)
got data log worth 2 hrs riding time with 7 mins WOT data for Load normalization.
Couple of runs made for AFR data.
Best time 0-100 for Stock map (14.64) came around 5.9 secs (company claims 5.5) , Best time in stock Improved map (Only AFR improved, Timing left alone) came in at 5.1 secs.
Best time for Dynojet supplied Improved map came in 5.2 sec.

I have my AC that is 14k old and tired now.
With better AC ( Heavy breather / Hammer perf) I am sure just a map will shave off 1+ second in 0-100 range. low 4 seconds Expected.

Even Conservative shifting exactly to above mentioned RPM makes 0-100 happen at just 6.1 secs. Low end torque makes that happen, that's the range most of us are going to ride our machines in our daily life and city streets.

Gosh Dustom, amazing stuff!

Thank you for sharing all this information. Your work is a reflection of your passion, keep it rolling!

Ride hard and safe.

Cheers

Ride Safe

One whole year has passed,I hope you would have found out what catcon is, and its location on harley !

That's one thing I am gonna follow as religion!

Brake , fluid and front end service @ 15k. Now good for another 10 k.

Also rear rim suffered a major crack, due to an exposed drainages hole. Running over it on a pitch dark night, caused a catastrophic blowout. I somehow managed to keep my self on saddle.

Repaired it at home , tig welded the crack and grinded down and then got the wheel balanced.
Has covered 3k since the incident , going on without issues, but I will soon replace the wheel with a wider one!
Its got an Axle , any suv could be proud of!

Last year's trip to Gangotri!
This years trip planned in June 4-6 days of living in wild and riding motorcycles.
Some Memories Of taking Spirit of Freedom to Spritual place.

Had to go through another tear down!
Last Sunday i had done self service and in just a week my horn was always on.
As soon as i turned the key to on position one morning and horn kept on blowing .
I figure wiring had short circuited somewhere for the time i unhooked its thimbles, but had to wait till saturday to find time to attend to it.
I had routed power vision cable last Saturday and wiring in and around was suspected.
Here is what I found !

One of the coupler was rubbing with body and has short circuited . stupidly i had disturbed its natural position while routing pv. Taped it up and put it back safe n secured!

Battery is brandless with only Harley davidson mentioned on it.
Ecu is Delphi 2tflop , and one of a kind!

As i had debaffled my ride almost an year ago, i always wondered what effect it had on my power and torque.

I had lots of data how my motor was doing without baffles, but was keen on finding out comparison with stock exhaust.
So I made custom baffles to plug all that i had opened up.
Today was the day to remove it again and get back to Loud and Proud Harley Davidson!

Data was gathered for 12 days of normal riding with baffles and it suggest due to taking baffle out of working -
1-I am loosing 10-15% torque below 2k.
2- i am gaining 30% between 3-4.5 k rpm.
3. Gaining only 10% beyond 5k rpm.
4. Supports 7.2k rpm rev limit instead of factory specific 6k without baffles.
5. MAP goes to its 100% value as low as 3k rpm and 40% throttle . I could get additional benefit with better AC.
6- lower restriction intake can give me as much as 30% more hp with just tune. I ran 15km without AC for tuning purpose and VE went crazy at 5k , showing 125 instead of 96 for factory map.
7. My mod instead of usual punching the baffle off has better gas flow at higher rpm. Bafflectomy gives additional 4-5 bhp where as i could get as much as 15 bhp if my filter could supply enough air at that rpm.
8. It is already better than most ot slip- on mufflers as far as gain is concerned, even without tuning. With PV, usual stage one doesn't stand a chance . nor does it sound so good

9. Its classic american idle with my mod and sound full of swag thereafter.

Removed custom built baffle pluga today!

All in all : slip on at 25 odd k are just slightly better flowing than stock!
One could get better sound and gain hp just by modding stock mufflers.

I will suggest to all those who are considering slip on , to mod their mufflers first and see if they like it. Anyway stock mufflers are a waste once slip on are opted for , and one could put on slipon mufflers if one is not satisfied with my mods.

Do you like it without baffles!!

I switched to valvoline 20/50 semi.
Completed 1k km, very low clatter from valve train as compared to hd oil.
Going to run the same henceforth.

Also going to start turbo sporty project.
On a shopping spree these days.
New turbo/ bov, energy 1 clutch plus other titbits.
Gt15 targeting 90- 100 bhp low boost (10-14psi) daily driver.

Tuning it is going to be the biggest challenge.

Something like this!

Is that an aftermarket backrest (UK reg. superlow), coz I thought saw different backrest for the superlow at the showroom. It looks damn neat by the way, how much did it cost you?
