You are very lucky you managed to pick it up. Now with the BS6 title coming in (whenever that is) Kawasaki Bangalore is talking about the pricing going up by about 1.2-1.5 Lakh rupees. I hope that doesn't happen but who the hell knows. It just might.

Will be a tough competition to the Suzuki GSX 750 now.
I would still stay that Street Triple S would be more nimble and fun being 28 Kgs lesser in weight to the Z. RS is different animal and a notch above Z900.

Suzuki has not yet declared on their BS VI listings and launch dates. Unofficially, it may even go beyond 2020 is what I hear.

Cheers,

Street Triple S is history, and the RS though a great product is priced way above the Z900. The z900 is priced reasonably well and with the 2020 model Kawasaki has resolved all the shortcomings (LED lights, digi dash and electronics) of the 2019 bike.

@Sikkimese4x4 Did you get the BS4 version of the bike?
Heartiest congratulations on the bike, wish you miles of smiles and giggles.

Yes, the street triple is lighter and more fun may be but I have had enough of light agile bikes. This time around I wanted a substantial looking bike which looks substantial. The street triple just looks a bit bigger than the duke 390.

Besides the Kawasaki is much cheaper than the street triple.
Last but not the least I wanted to go for a Japanese bike because it's reliability can't be compared to European bikes.

Yes, I was the first and last customer to buy a BS 4, z 900 year model year2020 from the Kolkata showroom. The street triple Rs has very high end suspension components and in case of a fall the repairs are going to be very costly.

ts a BS4 bike in name only. There is zero difference between the BS4 2020 Z900 and the BS6 Z900. Kawasaki India sold it as a BS4 bike as BS6 certification was taking time. So people who bought it then got the BS6 bike at the same price as the older bike but it's actually a BS6 bike only. People who buy the bike now will have to shell out 60-70k at least for the same bike.

My zee900 was 35k more expensive than the out going zee 900. And it will further be more expensive when the bike is certified as a bs 6 once the lockdown is over.

Then you have the BS6 version which is not ratified, and therefore sold as the bs4. It is actually bs6 ready but not certified.

You are lucky, and i think you got a stellar deal!

Some pictures of the dash would be nice to spice things up here.

Re: 2020 Kawasaki Z900

Does the BS6 Z900 also require high octane fuel and does it still have fueling niggles in BS6 avatar like the old version? Can anybody who owns the BS6 version comment on this aspect?

Re: 2020 Kawasaki Z900

The BS6 version of z900 has been launched at 7.99 lakh ex-showroom today.

The price of the Street triple R I guess caused Kawasaki to stick to it's original pricing and not go to 8.5l and beyond as they mentioned first.

They have done well to keep this below the Street Triple R. And IMO the two will have to battle out toe to toe for their respective units. All in all, good for the customers. Now if only someone could convince Honda that bikes are for selling. Such brilliant bikes they make but so atrociously overpriced.

Got it from Kawasaki Pune.

Ex-Showroom Price Rs. 7,99,000
RTO - Rs. 1,90,000
Insurance Rs. 61,000
On-Road Price - Rs. 10,50,000

How much is the % of Road tax on ex showroom rate? Definitely doesn't looks like 12%.
