Ravens Last Dance - Goodbye with a heavy heart!

I'm writing this with a very heavy heart. Getting a similar if not worse feeling when I parted ways with my 2014 Duke 390. But due to the whole arrangement of my life and for those big dreams to fit in (as of now in my life) I have to let go off my loving and my first ever big bike CBR 650F a.k.a Raven.

The bike hit 50,500KMS when this happened in total. 30,000KMS of which I thoroughly enjoyed and loved. But the best part is its been sold to someone who always had an eye on it since I got it. My sister and my good friend who decided that she wants to keep it as my garage made way for the next chapter. And that started the chapter for her first superbike. And knowing her she wont ever sell it. And with this the bike still stays around and in the circle.

And I now have fully geared up and ready onward to my next chapter. Not a dream bike yet. But getting into the infamous litre class club. This took a while and just like in case of Raven. This too just happened in blink of an eye for me. And the story behind it is nothing short of bollywood movie. And coins with the biker buddies definition of 'If you buy one, I will get one too'

To cut it short its a relaxed, comfortable and a big GREEN motorcycle which is going to come up next. The story and the experience will come up as a new post. Cheers

The last picture of Raven when it was going off to a new home

Well congrats in advance for your next bike. It's always bitter sweet when letting go of a bike you had for a long time and ridden for many miles even if it's an upgrade. I hope the new bike is also a Honda or you might have to ask the Team BHP admins for a name change

I wanted it to be a Honda but unfortunately HMSI doesn't have any bike on offer currently to which a 650 owner will upgrade to. Hence its a Kawasaki.

OK I feel stupid now cause you clearly mentioned big and GREEN. So unless there is a new Dominar 1000 it would have to be a Kawasaki. So I guess Ninja 1100? A good bump in power if so. Should keep you engaged for many years to come.

Welcome home Akai!

Alright folks. Here I present to you the replacement to my Raven. I proudly welcome home my pre owned 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX a.k.a Akai

Here she is in all its glory. Fully dressed as per how I would spec it up.

Akai (Not really my bike is in transit to Goa. This is very bike is exact replica of Akai. One of the 3 Ninja 1000SX we got in last 3 months. Story reveal of which shall happen in a dedicated ownership thread) meets Raven

I would like to thank all the Ninja 1000 owners here on the forum for helping me narrow down on this as an upgrade to the 650F. Special mention to BHPian KarthikK for this intricately written thread

Regards
