Well, i reached BKC only by 6.20 a.m. while quite a bunch was already there.
Couple of calls to Anku & Ashish who would not budge from 'not' answering their calls, and a few of us took off to the Chembur pump. Later the others waiting too decided to leave and met us at Chembur.
Bikefreak and a friend of his on the red 07 busa joined us at palm beach, and all of us took off for Karjat.
While we reached the Karjat entry, we realised a few bikes had not come along. A call made, and the red busa had a flat tyre bac at Panvel where we decided to join them.
Tyre fixed and we were ready to leave. A few minutes of talking, and i decided to make use of the fuel Rajesh's Ninja was burning.
A short spin around the highway on the ninja. This bike is almost the most convincing bike i have ridden. The power delivery through 3500 rpm right to the top is fantastic. It carries some weight and a ton of character, this one. The bike feels planted, but the handling is quite sharp for a bike from the 90s, and is does not scare you one bit.
I could touch my feet to the ground, the only downside on the zx7 was the short handle bar, taking uturns would often have you nudge the tank.
But the bike made me wanna roll the throttle beyond the usual, it was only a couple of kms and a handful of long curves, but it was a good vibe that i got from the zx-7!
Ohh, and the throaty Muzzy exhaust made the experience even more fun.

The kwacking experience, and the busa flat tyre were the only expceptions for me from the other rides we have done.

But guys, those who know they cannot make it, and are on the confirmed list, please bother to leave a message so that you do not keep others waiting. Having the phone ring constantly makes the waiting guys wonder whether you're on your way, or just snoring hard in bed.

Pictures received from Abbas (the red 08 fireblade chap):

So guys, are we doing a proper ride this sunday or saturday? I'm dying to take my beast out. Last ride the alignment was out so got some major vibrations past 220kmph. Now i've got all my parts installed with some dam good inputs from a friend who has been doing R&D on his & other's 14R's & the results are just insane. Dont have to wait to it 6k rpm for the beast to rocket ahead. Now power generation starts @ 3k & what sound cheers:

In case someone is thinking that its all thanks to a commander, let me tell you that you not even close to guessing it

So lets ride... who all are game.

called for the demon eyes but cant install it here. There,s too much stress to open a 14R's headlamp. Other than that there,s the carbon fibre cowl, damper, pc3. Will post soon.

How about the ride guys

Not sure about this Sunday, will confirm only later on Saturday if i am coming.

@everyone: the weather is getting colder now, and gloves and a jacket are a must to protect yourself from the early morning biting breeze.

Mesh gloves and jackets will not work now. The mesh jacket should at least have a liner in it. What about those guys that don't wear anything other than a helmet?

And i am just plain luck to have a Textile-Mesh jacket with a waterproof liner. I remember one of the older regulars having issues riding last year in his one piece Mesh riding suit.
