Hope you guys don't mind a newbie joining! I might have to be somewhere else for lunch, but count me in for the drive. Just curious, is anyone else under 30?

Dear All :

Many apologies to one and all. With a heavy heart I will have to convey my regrets for this Sunday (Jan 17) drive and lunch meet as due to long weekend some of my cousins from Delhi have unexpectedly planned to spend the long weekend in Hyderabad and this plan happened impromptu and there are some family outings planned

There are 2 Options :

Option 1: Please continue with drive as planned and share lots of picture here on the thread

Option 2: We can postpone this drive + lunch meet to January 24 when I can certainly make it as I will be home alone from Jan 23rd onwards

Sorry again for starting the initiative and backing out at last minute.

Depending on responses, we can decide next course of action !!!

Hi that's completely ok and understandable, let's do it in a big way next time.

I vote option2 but let's discuss about dates between 24-26 as it's long weekend !!!

For once let me be frank, I too have some pre occupation during 15-17 n was thinking, lil worried too as to how it will turn out n how to attend, I just did not want to miss first drive meet of year!!!!

I am also in favor of Option 2 as some family commitments have come for 17th, being a festival weekend.

Nice to know that. If it's getting rescheduled it has to be only Jan 24. I don't think its a long weekend as atleast I need to work on Jan 25

Guys, respond if you are fine to move this drive meet to Jan 24th

No worries Avinash, happens and being a festive weekend most of them may have some plans with family.
I am unable for Option 2, since will be out that weekend. Guess will have to miss this drive unless if plan gets rescheduled to Jan 30-31 weekend

I am one of the folks who took off on 25th to make it a long weekend

i will be tentative om the 23rd weekend as well. i might have to travel out of town during the week. Jan 30 - 31 weekend is a sure yes from my side too.

Even this week and next week seems really challenging for me as lot of things happening at work front and keeping me terribly busy

Let us plan this drive for sure either on Feb 7th or Feb 14th.

Lets take a confirmation call from all during the week of Feb 1st

Sorry to keep pushing this but, Feb 7th weekend will be out of town and Feb 14th being a Valentine's day most would prefer doing something better

Thanks for reviving the thread Jetti. Sunday drive meet is ON

However, the plan has changed as most are really busy and want to do a quick drive then lunch

Plan is to do an "ORR Darshan" then convene at a nice AC restaurant for a sumptuous lunch

Broad Plan below :

1. Meet just after the Airport ramp near Shamshabad

2. Drive on ORR until Vijayawada Exit/Directly to Gachibowli

3. Meet for Lunch on Gachibowli side

Time to meet would be 11:00am. Wrap up lunch by 2:00pm
