Had a wonderful experience in the TBHP meet at Ooty. For the first time, I got to meet many fellow TBHP members in person and know them. I thank you all for the warm welcome and making me feel at home though this was the first time I am meeting you all.

Took home many fond memories:

• RSUDARSANAN superbly managing the convoy of 14 cars and making sure all of us reached the destination together!
• Discussing cars with everyone till midnight, again after breakfast and again during lunch!
• Discussing Android HU with Dr.AD
• Listening to KiloAlpha passionately describing his SCross 1.6 buying process
• Meeting shetty_rohan and ArunP_Terry, fellow GT TSi owners and having a photo with all the GTs together
• Drafting behind pearljam's Verna on narrow winding roads
• Drafting behind shetty_rohan and ArunP_Terry on their GTs
• Following cmiuc's (Catch Me If You Can) XUV and Fortified's Fortuner on non-existent roads
• Chaith.turbo taking us to the market in his Fortuner and Sumzup arranging a group buy and getting a great deal on fruits
• Listening to tilt's truck driving experience in Canada!
• Following RSUDARSANAN's BMW on a spirited drive on a stretch of winding roads barren of traffic
• Watching anandtheleo's Fiesta 1.6 handling the curves
• We took a round about route for the onward which took us through some extreme driving conditions. Ended up with a few scratches on the GT from thorns.

And many many more...

I would like to thank RSUDARSANAN for arranging such a fantastic meet. Fantastic drive, fantastic people, fantastic stay, and fantastic food! Hope I would be able to make it to many more events in the future.

An anniversary drive brings back lots of nostalgia, especially of the first drive held in July 2013.
It was planned with much trepidation yielding a budding convoy of seven that set forth on its first drive.

Seven purrfect strangers now best of buddies.
It sowed the seed for many more drives and many more best of buddies .

To you wonderful men, wonderful partners and your driving machines that make these drives a happening event -
Three cheers .

As with all other drives, no matter the unearthly hour, participants checked in early with unbridled enthusiasm.

Folks, good to see that you had an interesting (and safe!!) drive.

Just a word of caution, when you do stop a convoy of cars on the road, please do make sure that there is either enough run off area for the cars to be parked OR the road is relatively unused.

Stopping on narrow roads where there isn't enough space already for two vehicles to pass causes the traffic do back up and is an inconvenience to other road users.

I hope you understand this is not a criticism of your road manners, but an observation as a third party using the same road as yourself. I do understand that there are unavoidable situations in such drives and maybe some of the stops were taken out of necessity.


I am sure it was not a conscious attempt to block traffic and I do hope my comments are taken positively.

It was my very first drive with the Bangalore team and boy! was it fun

The trip was really memorable for the drive and for the people i was able to meet and get to know better.

Thanks Ravi for the arrangements, i am sure they required lot of efforts and time to make it happen.

The sense of camaraderie towards each other was something I felt really happy to see. Look forward to the next drive soon (the pressure on Ravi already started during the trip )

I have the video clips of the hairpin bends towards Ooty. But due to bad roads, the ascent was very slow and spread over more than 10 video clips (more than 30 minutes). Difficult to post such a long video!

A Memorable commemoration drive over the weekend has kept me busy thinking where or when would be the next overnighter

Even though I have been part of the drives for couple of times, I was only able to join them till breakfast point. This time I got a chance to be part of the overnighter and man it was absolute fun driving through all the hair pin bends and put my beast (XUV) through all the twisties with much ease. Also interacting with all fellow bhpians and sharing our thoughts and views about cars, the drive, the overnighters was awesome.
