And here's how it went...

That was fast, guys

It was a really nice meet. I hope we made Tadu feel at home with us. It was really nice to meet him and his Petefied Elantra.

I met up with Tadu at the meetup spot (Indus Maruti). Nikkibike came along about immediately in his Swift. We spent some time listening to music in my car and in Tadu's car (he has one helluva HU in there). I was running low on fuel (and I'd tired 4 pertol bunks on the way to the meet and 2 were dry, and two were "not dispensing fuel"). I'm a bit paranoid about not having at least a 1/2 full tank in my car (and about the lightning strikes that are a regular feature in our "politically aware" state), so we filled-up at a nearby bunk (where there was no issue, thank god). We then went back to Indus.

Icemanz came along in his Verna. We checked-out his new seats and his ICE. It had started showing signs of heavy rain by then and sure enough, it started to rain.

Max came by in a few minutes in his Siena.

Zak and Nash (artofzen) got there in a few minutes in Zak's Black E220. It was raining quite heavily then. We decided to go ahead with the original plan and drive to Fort Cochin.

We got to FC (Fort Cochin) in no time. Drove into the walkway (where no vehicles are normally not allowed heh, heh -- the guard was not there) and lined up the cars.

to be contd...

We had dinner at WhyteFort and another extended session of gabbing about cars and stuff. Nash, Nikki & I enjoyed a spirited drive in Zak's E220 after dinner. It was funnnnnnnn!

Special thanks to Max and Tadu for the snaps. Nearly all the snaps I posted are from Max's cam.

Icemanz, do post the snaps from your cam also.

Thanks to everybody who came. I had a really good time.

Hey! It is just that I know the people who run those places and I am a regular guest there. The staff always get scared by my beard and appearance.

Jokes apart, its sad to see those trees in this condition.
I am also concerned about these Pepsi thingys.

All the trees were given some axe treatment recently. Really sad to look at now.

@Hydra. It was Wellingdon Island. Not FC.
Guys, just read the FC as Wellingdon island in previous posts.

Also, Some points from this meet. (ALA V1p3r)
  1. When it rains, all previous plans take a sudden change.
  2. Max likes his Siena very much but hates it's service bills although he abuses it some times.
  3. Hydra doesn't eat a lot of prawns. (Next time, I will sit next to him).
  4. Nash loves Trivandrum!
  5. Nikkibike and Max always carry an umberella in their cars.
  6. Icemanz's new seats got wet in the rain. Quality check?? ahem???
  7. Torque in the Elantra keeps it just behind the tail lamps of the merc.
  8. Torque gives many people goosebumps.
  9. Nash, Tadu and Hydra doesn't know how to swim! (Next time, we will take the ferry).
  10. Nash has girl friends in very high places too. (but they won't always pick up the phone).
  11. Taj Malabar is a bad place when there is a Gujju wedding happening.
  12. Ships urinate when they take U turns!
That's all for now.

Hydra,

Sorry for not attending the T-BHP meet. Infact, I haven't logged to T-BHP yesterday at all and because of that I missed your PM.

Anyway, thanks for your invitation.

Thats interesting Max... did you give you car for service @ a FORD dealership? just joking... hope everything is fine now.

Zak thats a beautiful place you guys were at.... I did not realise it when you guys called on the phone. It was nice talking to you Artofzen.

Overall looks like an evening well spent.

Zak, your Merc looks immaculate... and all the time you quietly sing praises about mortals like us who "try" to maintain our old cars well. I'd love to just sit in the car when I come to Cochin... please

Nah .... car is back at the Service station. Yesterday tried following an A6. Both stopped very soon. Audi coz it was caught in the speed gun , Siena coz the bloody temp. was over the top. Soon after some time knew the Ac relay or the fan was faulty.Drive back was awesome ....temp around 42C without ac... . I have the video of the Audi chase. Its a Black A6 . I had recently adjusted fuel pump a bit and now the car is quite good for occasional rip session apart from the overheating issue. Like old AMby's I need to fix a switch to manually on the Fan (thats switches on usually when the AC is working) Recently the same thing happened when I tried to test the top speed of my car. It did ~160 but soon I had to stop the car fearing an engine cease . Did the run in that coimbatore Salem L&T highway..did it at noon so the car wasnt actually running its best. I will try once more in an evening . Am sure it will do a 165.
