Sunday, 13th May - Mumbai Bike Ride -- Amby Valley

13-05-2007, Mumbai Bike Ride -- Amby Valley

1st meeting point: sion circle 6 a.m. sharp
2nd meeting point: 6.30 a.m. macs, kharghar
3rd meeting point: breakfast place in lonavla which RT will try to recall the name of soon, latest by sunday morning

Simple it is, if you cant make it, please dont, we understand you have something a lot more important to do and you'd make it to the next ride/drive, if 6 a.m. is too early then please continue to snore, buttttt please dont try to shuffle the schedule, we are trying to evade as much heat as possible on the ride back.

One of the following: Ravikrishnan's, Ravikants, Ramakants, HariRamaKrishnakants. I think everyone knows the place anyways.

I wouldn't know, first ride to loony, RT mentioned 12ish though.
i might consider riding back from the breakfast place if its too draining, keyword being might.

guys, amby valley take about 20 mins max from lonavala (henceforth refered to as Loony!). We can ditch the darn breakfast stop instead!

Here's how it should ideally go:
Leave Mc.Donalds at 6.30am SHARP.
Be at Loony at 8am latest.
Have a 10 minute chai break.
Head off for Amby at 8.15am.
Reach the top at 8.45am. (thats leaving a big margin)
Head back home by 9am.
Reach back at McD's by 10.30am.

However, this will only work if we don't stop every 2 km. And if everyone is on time. Its too darn hot these days to be ridding in the afternoon, so we should aim to be back by 11am latest.

Been there last weekend.. and my suggestion would be leave early morning so that you can reach there around 7, then a nice ride on the ambey vally road ,a good breakfast and you'll find yourself back in mumbai by around 12. I know i did it. tough my timing were different

I left (Thane )at 4:30 Am was at lonavala @ 6:30 and after a ride (with a good break because of a crash) i was back at home at around 11:30.
