I'm on for the Automechanika meet. I'll arrive with some of my non bhpian friends and relatives.

Where's this thingy taking place? Are we meeting at the venue or somewhere before that? My suggestion is the venue itself, near to some good eatery/juice bar etc..

What about something this thursday night or friday?
We can make it a small drive if possible. Not the normal E 311 etc.. But some road which is rarely taken or touched.

Thursday night is booked, Friday night is when one of my friends is taking Duboy on a few laps around the Autodrome in his track-spec Evo IX - its a long overdue promise to the kid so no skipping that.

Friday morning seems okay. How about a drive through the Shj-Kalba road - about 50 kms of super-straight highway followed by about 35 kms of fast and twisty mountain roads with a couple of tunnels thrown in? If its early enough (5 am) I can take my bike.

I would like to visit the Autodrome. It'd be nice if we can organise a mini meet there.

Friday morning would be a bit difficult for me. As I tend to wake up very late after the thursday night sessions!

Jokes apart, let's do the morning drive. I'll confirm my part tonight.

Since there are a lot of D R I V E meets going on in many places, we've decided to have one of our own.

We have planned to go on a nice long drive tomorrow (Friday 30/05/2008) along the Sharjah - Kalba Road. Great roads with a long straight stretch with a few curves in the mountainous sections and some long tunnels - should give you the feeling of driving on the Monaco Grand Prix track (OK... that was a bad comparison). But nevertheless, its going to be a great drive.

Plan is to meet up at the Emarat Petrol Pump which is opposite the Qusais Police Station at 5:30am and roll out by 6am. (Yes, it's a tad too early but hey, we're not doing this everyday. And the earlier we do this the lesser traffic we'll encounter). Route planned is Sharjah -> Kalba -> Fujairah -> Khorfakkan -> Dubai. (This last route will be decided once we have a break in KFK)

The following members are confirmed for this drive:
