We stayed here in 2006 and we had a horrible experience. It all started from the check in- While 2 rooms were booked earlier, only one was available when we arrived. Had to wait almost 4 hours and lot of arguments the other room was provided. Food was bad. I dont remember exactly but we faced a similar situation like Deepak faced in Wayanad. Of course the rooms were good but the service was pathetic and the manager was outrightly arrogant. Dont feel like staying there again.

If Mahabs one i can suggest within reasonable budget - Mamalla - Mamalla Beach Resort, Mamallapuram, Mahabalipuram, Fine Hotels, Beach resort, Seaside, Chennai, Tamilnadu. Holiday, Sun, Tropical, Private beach, Gasurina Grove, Lazy getaway, sea breeze, verandah, sea view rooms, hawai chappals, bermuda shorts, rela. Another looks good but never stayed - highland blue bay - Beach Resort in Mahabalipuram, Highland Holidays Vacation Club.

Excellent Idea for a great meet,

Although I have been to Pondicherry as early as February this year, but that was in my WagonR and have been itching long for a long drive in my Accent, Add me in for this trip.

I had been there for 2 days and then went to Mahabalipuram via the ECR and stayed there overnight, even had the pleasure of seeing some classic vintage cars in a rally in Pondy,

Pls do let me know in case you need my assistance in planning anything for this trip, I will be more than glad to assist.

Sorry Guys,

Was totally busy last weekend...could not update

Talked to one of my friend and he suggested this resort as it will cater to budget conscious members:

:: Banyan Beach Resort - Restaurant :: Hotel Mass

Somehow, could not contact them as the call went to a wrong number.

The date we are looking at is 7th-8th August.. will post more details shortly as will get in touch with already experienced BHPians who have been there

I agree with DD, also most probably as per some planned commitments, I will have to fly to Delhi during that period, It will be really gud if we can do this trip in July,

Also, I have another query, One of near friends who is newly married might also like to be a part of this trip, although he is a non-BHPian, pls let me know in case it is Ok?, else, I will say a polite no to him.

Yeah, Please dont get me embarrased for that, I still rue after seeing the pics, but sometimes, you just are not able to make it up.

Yeah, anything but 7/8 or 14/15 Aug is fine with me, I am planning a quick trip to Delhi/Lucknow at either/both of these weekends.

Hi Inder, Any update on the accomodation front or in case you need any other assistance in this, pls do let me know.

Mr Asdon is going Solo.

I had been to Goa last weekend for 4 days. Had an excellent time there. It was raining, hence made it easier to travel as it was not hot. One day the sun came out and it felt tiring, thankfuly it was on the last day

We hired a car there for 4 days, so moving and exploring was no issue. Had a Swift for the inital days and a Wagon R for the last day. The Swift was really amazing, had never driven one before

Will post a detailed review soon in the T' Logue section
