Phew! What a relief that I don't have to write a report, now that NOS and Premjit have done the hard bit.

First and foremost, a big thanks to all bhpians who came along. Honestly, when I had planned the meet, I told Joseph that we'll see meager participation. But I was surprised at the enthusiasm shown by most of you guys. I may have planned the meet, but on that day I was only a spectator to the success you guys made it!

Oh Dear! Saturday night was a real nightmare. We had a situation where there were more people than cars available. Joseph and I must have called each other 10 times, thinking of how to coordinate the cars!

Heyyyyy! Thats not fair. I was at the very "point" I was originally supposed to be in. Its your fault that you waited at a wrong place!

When quizzed about the recent auction Bhalla Jr told us that since they were bought on a partnership basis there is some delay before the vehicles come.
You forgot to mention the 87 Jonga ambulance that we saw. But yes, this was Panagarh at its most barren. Almost no "new" stock to speak of.

Heard a lot about you from Joseph. Do meet up dude.

Thanks. I was kinda taken aback. Here I am, in the middle of the highway doing a cool 140 kmph, and suddenly the Black Ikon overtakes me! We must have done about 150-160 kmph together, for about 15 mins before 1100D decided to back out.

Now for some pics from my end:

The cars reach the meeting point. 1100D has just played a successful prank on me, so his expression says it all.

Ahem! nobody decided to back out.We were comfortably ahead of and could have kept going, but 1100D thought things were getting a bit boring in the lead so he slowed down to let you pass. After that we drove for near 25 kms at 75-80 to let the OHC catch up with us.

Whoa! Relax tiger!

The statement about backing out was not made in a negative sense. This is not the first time that Anirban Da & I have had a driving tiff (case in point, our drive from Jadavpur stadium to tyangra, where it felt like city traffic had ceased to exist!

He's an aweesome driver, and I'm sure he'd had my case if he didn't decide to slow down. Good that you were in one of the cars too!

Hoping to meet you again. And nice pics.

Damn the EGR in my Stomac - i missed this drive :(

How much has the Black Ikon clock? around 79,000kms? or is it 69,000kms? If the Silver Arrow / Shuvc's Baleno was there then it would have been better IMO.

The Silver Baleno is very hard to catch up with - from my personal experience.

Too bad that I missed this one, it must be the first such occassion :-D ...Maybe 1100D is getting old as I have never seen him backing out, or maybe he never faced stiff competition all these years :-P

Some more of Shaktighar Meet!

These are the more 'Candid Pics' of the Shaktighar meet! Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the Panaghar Session as I was advised by Senior BHP-ians to keep my camera aside, as it would lead to immediate escalation of scrap prices! Enjoy!

The meet was in July. Black, (err, I mean) Joseph's ride at that time was a Black Zen. Due to mechanical reasons, the Black Zen was deemed unfit for the Blacktop. To make up for Lack of Black, he turned up in a (nearly) Black tee riding 1100D's Black Ikon.

In August he replaced the Black Zen with a Black Accent, with black sunfilm, black interiors (read grey darkened with dust ), a Black engine bay with black(ened) Engine oil and Black tyres . Dunno when the pics of Black Knight will come up on the forum.

EDIT: Pardon my Gibberish. Long Sunday afternoon with nothing to do, you see?
