Guys can some one summarize the route from the Anekal-Harohalli road to hit the lake? Even if I cant make it, I would love to visit the place at least.

Does it mean that one need not cross water at all to hit the lake?

I also heard there are tuskers in the area? Is that true? I was surprised at that!

Yep! I saw your ride a couple of times and as usual was in a hurry so could not even check if you were around!

That's little tough. The place name is Thattekere. Check the mapmyindia maps. It shows the location on the map.

About the Tuskers, yes I too saw in some newspaper about Tuskers roaming around sometime back. But its not normal there.

Ok guys. Looking at the stats, lets freeze it for 29th Jan 2011.

Its time for looking at the logistics. Since there are no food joints nearby, we have following options,

Reach at or before 10AM at the location and spend time till lunch, head on to a hotel on the way back.
Bring our own packed food / snacks.
Have a lunch meet, and then drive down to the location to spend good time.

The other problem is people coming from different directions. Some may come/leave through Kanakapura road, and others may be through Hosur Road.

So, a common spot for lunch is the question.

Any other thoughts / options?

EDIT: Btw, I have an idea of going to the spot this Saturday to check out the possibilities. Anyone interested can join in. PM me, if you are interested.

29th seems to be an eminently sensible choice.

I also think that we should do pot-luck packed lunch, arrive around 10am - Indian Stretchable Time, of course! This should give everyone involved enough time to spend pre- and post-lunch, and also be able to meet other commitments on Saturday night.
