The best products are available down South, it takes a long time for their commercial availability here in the North.

They have been doing trials rudra had infact gone to one such, looks like that optra black one is his only.Learnt that meguiars is coming with its product lines oin india about the next month or so and will be selling through channel parteners. Cost will again be high only as they are 50% more even in Canada which is next door neighbour to them

I had bought these for 17 USD ..As compared to the Turtle Wax Platinum Series ,these did give a better shine initially ,but then, the TW used to last longer.

I now use the Turtle Wax ICE.

OMG!! Where are they selling this stuff in India!??

Heck! I'm car crazy too!! :D

EDIT : Meguiar's India

I mailed their Kolkata dealer - turned out to be a defunct email id.
shall try to call tomorrow (wish to ask about retail quantities and rates)

Waxpol strikes again, this time on Maglev's SX4.

Have a look guys:

Dude!! thats awesome!! :D

I bet it felt real nice seeing your SX4 shine like that!
Totally worth the workout! :)

I wish I was a bodybuilder(it is a requirement for using Waxpol IMO!!)

My friend who goes to gym, I made him try waxpol on his car and he wiped it off after it dried on like he was wiping off a liquid wax!!

You could hear the metal on the panels going in and out as he buffed! Whoa!

Man, that's hilarious!:uncontrol

^lol!

btw yesterday I revived the bonnet of my mom's U-VA!

it was in the crappiest condition possible!!(bird poo all over,(+ hazy clear coat under the bird poo area), paint spots and what not!)

Took around 1.5hrs to 'clean' the poo off the bonnet!

then usual claying(but paint spots didn't go!)
then had to bring in the big gun!(3M Finesse it) and it worked quite nicely in removing the paint spots

but it created isolated clear coat haze!
so then had to give a UC treatment to the whole bonnet and it started to shine like new! :D

Then Formula1 metallic car polish followed by Turtle Wax precision series and the bonnet was glaring/glittering/sparkling as nothing I had seen before!!(Cashmere color)

my mom was shocked too! but it took me like nearly 3 hrs on the bonnet alone!

I guess DA is absolutely necessary for such reviving work!

since I've maintained my i20 in good condition from the start, it needs just a lil' maintainance!

reviving a paintwork is the real pain in the azz!

I heard a few neighbors talking(who also own cashmere colored U-VA) that they did everything but couldn't make their car shine like that!! lol

Maybe I'll do a door or two today and will post some pics!

@Sohail what is "UC treatment" you are talking about?
"mettalic car polish" is it for paint or alloys and metal work ?
and what is "DA work" ?

UC is Meguiars Ultimate Compound

Yup! Formula1 Metallic car polish is for metallic paints (+ alloys(I tried it on alloys with great results! :D))

DA - Dual Action Polisher!

btw I used the rotary polisher today for buffing off TW precision car wax off the doors of my mom's car!

It worked wonderfully! I kept cautious all the time and made sure I just feather touched it to the panels!

It greatly reduces the work!

OMG! we can use it to buff off Waxpol! :D

It did feel great after the entire process was over. :D

But I did not wait for more than 10 mins per panel, before buffing it.

Had applied a very thin layer of Waxpol.

I had read somewhere on Team-BHP itself that multiple thin layers are way better than one thick layer.

Thats right!

a couple of thin layers are better than a thick one!

but ideally, I wait for 12hrs for the wax to set(cure) before I layer it with the 2nd layer!
