I already use the jopasu duster, sometimes twice on the same day. What I meant was stains and marks which won't come out by use of the duster.

Did you try doing a quick detailing with ONR in a spray can or using the two bucket method with ONR water in the middle of the week every week and do a proper wash during the weekend? Should take 15 minutes to half an hour.

Nope, haven't tried any of those things.

Well, here are my options with regards to cleaning my car-

1) Ask the car cleaner guy and add to the existing scratches.

2) Get it cleaned professionally once in 10-15 days. More often would not be possible and too expensive.

3) Don't clean it at alllol:

The space constraints in building prevent me from cleaning my car, even if I could try, I would only be able to clean one side plus Ill have to make sure I don't get run over by other cars.

I would really like to clean my own car, but right now I can't. Using a general car cleaner and a microfibre cloth I try removing stains eg. Bird droppings, but never for the entire car.

Any suggestions on what can I do? Sorry for my ignorance but can ONR be used without water? I only seem to find the two bucket method which isn't possible for me. Is there anything which I could simply spray and wipe my car with?

Optimum No Rinse is the perfect solution to your woes.

1. Use 1 oz. ONR in 2 gallon water (8 litre). First dust off using something like a Jopasu duster and then wash your car like you would do with shampoo. But remember to use a good quality MF towel. Then just wipe it clean and dry with another MF. You do not need to rinse, unlike when you use shampoo. In fact, i wash my entire car using 4 litres of water and 1/2 oz. on ONR. Remember, you cannot use ONR when the car is really muddy like in rainy reason. For these situations you need to use a shampoo. I use this method once a week or 10 days depending on usage and how dirty the car gets.

2. After this wash you can remove dust daily using Jopasu.

3. Mix 1 oz. ONR with 500ML Aquaguard water and keep it in a empty Colin/Mr.Muscle bottle with the sprayer. Use this solution to "quick detail" your car every 2-4 days depending on usage again.

In my opinion this is the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to keep your car clean.

I know this is a cleaning & polishing thread, but have a similar query. How can mild wiper marks be removed from the windscreen ?
Heard somewhere that polishing can help. Is this possible ? Car is due for a polishing.
Can the scratch marks be removed DIY way ?

:OT I would suggest to you RO purified water as it has less TDS then a normal AquaGuard unless that model has RO built-in.

I used the Amourall orange wipes which are for the dashboard.I was amazed at the dirt that came off.prior to using the above i had used a household liquid cleaner to clean the dash.
The wipes can be used on fabric too.It works wonders.Not to expensive.

Removing scratches from glass is a whole specialist topic in itself, with methods ranging from toothpaste to specialist products. Not easy.

Are you sure your windscreen is actually scratched? You can try a cream cleaner especially made for glass. I use Auto Glym, but I do not know if it can be found in India, and the last time I mentioned it, somebody pointed out how expensive it is even in UK (a little goes a long way, and is like deep cleaning for glass, so, used occasionally, the price of the bottle is not so bad). This should remove deposits and hard-water (mineral) marks that your wipers may have left.

Then... get new wipers. The fact that these marks and streaks occur at all means your rubber edge is no longer even and smoothly sweeping the glass. For best results, change wipers every year.

If I have wasted your time so far, because you really do have scratches on the glass --- then I can only sympathise. I may not be good at keeping a car shining like new, but I hate it if I do not have perfect vision through the glass. And I hate the way one tiny scratch catches the light; I've even been tempted to let one scratch cost me a whole new windscreen

This helps to prevent ---

• Before driving, remove dust (much of which is gritty and abrasive, however fine) from the glass, and especially from the wipers.
• When you clean your glass, clean the wipers too.
• Replace wipers regularly.
• Never use the wipers dry. Always use only when wet or when operating screen wash. In some cars, the wipers will make a sweep or two before the screen wash starts; this is very bad design.

Just a question: i applied a very thing coat of collnite.. do i need to apply more coats??
Meg Polish.. gives a immense depth.. but the wax i noticed reduced it..
