I received the Maguiars Wax Polish NXT and the applicator pads last week. I ordered the stuff from the site www.carware.in. They were a little slow in delivery, but their pricing is sensible.

I already have car detailer liquid spray along with clay bars. So I have a big plan for this weekend as follows:

1) Wash the car thoroughly and wait till dry.
2) Get rid of impurities such as tar marks, hard stains, bird poops, etc with clay bar.
3) Apply Maguiars NXT Wax polish and wipe off with microfibre cloth.

Will post the result next week.

Please dont wait for the car to dry. You may end up having water spots. Better to dry with microfibre towel and then proceed.

Make sure you do not have the NXT wax run over on plastic trims, it will stain it badly.

True, if your car is in the shape that was shown, it is better to wash with a good shampoo or at least do just washing with plain water. Then you can do waterless wash.
I have stopped doing regular wash, except when the car is really dirty. Other days I just use the Jopasu duster and use ONR spray liberally and wipe off. It leaves the surface clean with a sheen and if you want, you can add to that by using a quick detailer spray or Megs quick wax spray. It hardly takes an extra five minutes. The less you wash and wipe, the less will be your swirl marks, if at all, use a good microfiber towel and wipe gently without much pressure.

Sorry guys forgot to mention in my earlier post, Mohsin had rinsed the bonnet with a bottle of water before demonstrating the product. This washed off the minute pebbles and dirt stuck to the bonnet. The car anyways has a good deal of scratches and swirls, so I left the finer parts for next weeks detailing session.

My windscreen has a glaring effect with on coming lights at night. They look more scattered. This will only get worse when the monsoon starts. What's the best solution to this?

I guess you need to wash and then clay your glass once and use any material like glass protectant such as Aquapel. Claying should take away the embedded particles in the glass and that should reduce reflections that cause glare. And aquapel will act as a protectant in the rain repelling water.

Also would suggest to change your wipers or atleast clean them.

You will need a proper glass towel to clean the glass both inside and outside without leaving any streaks. That day Mr. Nirmal showed me Sonax glass towel which was perfect. I think it costs 180 bucks. That can be used anytime when one wants to clean the glass.

Ita one of the best products in the market.
Added advantages are that its a solution which you can mix in appropriate levels to get different products, quick detailer, waterless wash concentrate, and even as a car shampoo. One more use is to use the quick detailer mix for mild interior cleaning. Wont do spot removal, but good for fortnightly details.

@blackasta do checkout their new Optimum waterless wash with wax ( green solution ), which is very good and makes the surface look slick. Only problem with it is you have to slightly buff the mirrors.

And yes Nirmal has a stock of the same. Alternatively check with Moushin for UWW (Ultima waterless wash), which is claimed to be as good or better than ONR.

This is my CIVIC after a new paint job. Its a custom Pearl white paint.

We let the top coat harden / outgas for 3 weeks before cutting it, to get a better finish!!

I'm very happy with it. Yesterday used Meguiar's New Car Glaze #5 and it has given the Paint job this amazing deep gloss to it. Planning another coat of Glaze #5 in a few days, then Collinite 845 to seal it off.

P.S: Any suggestions about Car Wash liquids which do not harm the Wax & where they are available?

Team, i tried out Meguiars super degreaser today. Its another awesome product from Meguiars Detailer line of products.

Cleaned the engine bay. Also cleaned mud and muc off my bikes swing arm. The best part of this product was that it just needs to be sprayed and allowed to dwell for 20-30 seconds and then spray water on it and the mud and muc and grease all disappears. Unlike Apc which needs to be agitated with a brush.

I just used two sprayers one for degreaser and another for the water. Not even the pressure sprayer was required.

Excellent vfm product. One just needs to be careful of the smell though. Smells like dettol but now im feeling a bit dizzy.

Looks like i may end up buying more of this.

Please get ONR wash and wax only. That thing is too good.

Seems like I must get a clay bar. Though I feel a clay bar is very expensive, I think buying it is unavoidable.

Can we use a claybar multiple times or is it use once and throw? My Scorpio must be having lot of contaminants accumulated for atleast 5 years. Keeping this in mind, can I use my first clay bar for atleast second time?

Another question, are there any quality spray bottles that spray the detailer uniformly? I tried multiple spray bottles and I am not satisfied. They tend to spray out drops along with driplets. If there is a good spray bottle which can spray out uniform mist/droplets, I think it saves a lot of liquid and also will be easier to clean.

No you cannot use a claybar multiple times.

First you need to get the car washed thoroughly. That should get rid of the loose contaminants.

Then use tarX and remove all the bug and tar from the paint. You may also use Trix which is TarX and ironX in one. Or even IronX shampoo.

After these contaminants have been removed, now the only remaining will be those bonded into the paint and some oxidation. Now you can use clay and since most of the contaminants have been removed, your clay can be used over the entire car without becoming completely dirty midway. This way you can use very less of the clay.

You can order from notorious who stocks medium grade clay bar and has very good prices for it. Ive ordered from him too.

One 80gm claybar can be divided into half and one half can be used over the entire car.

For spray bottles, i keep buying the Amway spray bottles from Mr. Nirmal. They are quite durable and flexible and have dilution ratios marked on the side. Also sprays a fine mist and if you want there is a stream option too.
