Thanks to Kartman, I changed mine too. Not a drastic change from a comfort perspective, but I feel very confident with the new springs. |

Guys, can you post some pictures of the setup, exact specs of springs (I am not sure if they are custom for XUV or generic), process, time taken to setup, place to do this? If the vendor who did this does not mind, post the contact details too. Thanks in advance. |

I called him up. He asked me for your name which I said a friend of friend as I could not recall your name in time. He immediately responded - XUV springs are out of stock, no chance of getting it in next 4-5 months! These are Tiens right? |

Hey, As of right now, there is still tossing of the passengers in the middle row but it has become comparatively lesser. The last time i got driven by my driver, i noticed that it was easier to work on my laptop when sitting in the middle row. But the most comfort is till felt by the driver and the front passenger as these springs feel like you are driving a sedan and not a SUV. I have received this comment by many friends as well as car service providers (Wheel Aligner, A/C Servicer, ICE setup specialist and not like it counts but my RM at Mahindra too). If you. In my honest opinion, it is a worth upgrade if you don't mind the cost of the product and the headache the RM will try to give you blaming everything that goes wrong in the car to the changed springs. Hope this helps. -Kartik |

I agree too. Thanks to Kartman, I changed mine too. Not a drastic change from a comfort perspective, but I feel very confident with the new springs. It is tough to explain but there was a funny way the stock springs use to behave when you go over cobblestone kinda surface. With the Tiens, thats no more the case. The springs are firm and give you a sporty feel. When you corner hard, the lateral acceleration cornering force is for sure something that you will love. Am sure its around 0.80 to 0.85g. It corners as flat as possible. These just cost me 34K installed. These along with the Deiseltronic ECU make my beast a fun to drive machine. |

What is the average life of XUV 5OO brake pads (Front & Rear)? Is it true that the front brake pads need replacement every 20k Kms? One of my friend who owns a W8 was asked to replace the front brake pads of Bosch make with Galfar make at 20k service and now at 40k service the service guys are asking him to replace both front and rear brake pads which means the front brake pads lasted only 20k kms where as the rear ones lasted for 40k. Per the service folks, the max life is only 20 - 22k kms. He is a decent driver and doesn't do any harsh braking. Appreciate your inputs. Thanks. |

I was glad that I did not have to write about any significant niggles about my 6 months old XUV, but the happy spell came to an end after driving in the rain. 1. Mist formed inside both the headlight units - It was a problem with the earlier batches but haven't seen any such issues reported lately. Seems to have resurfaced with the face lifted model. 2. Wipers started shuddering after put in for use for a while Haven't had the chance to take it to the service station yet. Will do it in a couple of weeks and post the update. Also, the low beam was extremely inadequate in rains (Though it is not technically a niggle) and needs an upgrade. |

this mechanism is speed-sensitive, so those additional bulbs won't turn on when the vehicle is stationary. During night time, take a turn and you will immediately notice the function of the static-bending lights. |

It will be activated when the head lamp is ON and steering wheel turned more than 90° at 5 kmph or 45° at 100 kmph speeds. |
