Re: AC noise

A strange thing happened today morning. I filled my fuel to the brim , from my usual Shell bunk, and while coming out, I switched on the ACC (full auto mode). Immediately started getting a TRRRRRRR sound, like an old Luna engine. I was confused as to what it could be, so I switched the ACC off, and the noise immediately stopped. I tried doing this a few times, and it simply doesnt go away.
I reached office with the aircon off, and then popped up the hood to see if anything untoward was happening. Surprisingly, the noise cant be heard in the engine compartment at all! Only when inside the car.
What could it be ?

The car is a Swift P 1.2 , 2 years old, with 14k on the odo. There is no issue with drop in pickup or excessive engine noise. It has got 3rd year extended warranty too.

This is a common problem if you use the re-circulation mode of the a/c and open the fresh air intake flap. Leaves would have entered the blower assembly and would have gotten stuck in the circular blower fan inside leading to the noise that you are experiencing when the a/c is turned on.

Our mod Jaggu has a great DIY cleaning of the blower assembly of the Swift in his LTO report. Do take a look and you can clean the blower. Nothing to worry about.
