If it wouldnt be much of a bother can I have the part numbers and prices for all four(left+right x 4)? Since availability is a question, it would be wise to approach my MGP fully prepared incase a particular type is unavailable.

Finally some good news, yesterday the MGP store manager did some live stock search & found out that one piece was available in Duliajan, Assam. I immediately contacted the MGP store in duliajan & was replied that the part is sealed & intact. One of my friends from duliajan volunteered to pick up the part & ship it to guwahati.clap:

Awesome buddy. Looking at the carton in background, it looks like a pretty old stock. Atleast 10 years old.
Pics like these give me a feeling of treasure hunt. :D
PS: The print board at the back is very much prone to damage. Please be careful.

No wonder you are the MGP expert here in Team-bhp, the part is indeed more than 10 years old. The part is from 2003, lets hope that it works.

It will work, looks like an unused piece. Just make sure the print board isn't damaged. In worst case, you can remove the temperature and fuel gauge from the new one and use it. :)
BTW what happened to the wiring harness?? Have they ordered it??

Well I haven't yet enquired about the wiring harness & combination switch. My first priority was to get the fuel & temperature gauge working, if the new speedometer assy fixes it then I will move on to the wiring harness. But I am almost certain that the wiring harness is also discontinued.

Wiring harness was available a few days ago for 1997 M800, so should be available in your case too. If not, do check the live stock. Thats one useful feature in the DMS for old cars.
