We have a plethora of threads asking for advice regarding spare parts, where the Maruti owners tend to get lost. Also, I've been receiving many PMs asking for spare part numbers and price. While I humbly help them all, posting on a common forum will help a larger audience. Hence I thought of having a central query thread for
MGP/SGP/MGAs.
My source of this info is the
Electronic parts catalogue. Unfortunately, the version I have isn't updated after 2010, so presently, I am unable to help owners of cars, which was launched after 2010.
You may also ask me about spares details of latest gen MSIL cars also which aren't mentioned here, and I'll try to help you out, but I should mention this that service in this case isn't guaranteed. :)

For starters, please help with with the blower speed resistor, which blew off some time back and now by blower doesn't run on speed 1.

Recommendation: Same thing happened in my car a few days ago. When it was removed, we saw one of the 3 terminals corroded and had deposits on them. My SA cleaned it and installed it back. No problem since then. :)

I'd recommend you to get the clutch kit, which includes Clutch plate and pressure plate. You can purchase both of them separately also, but it will be expensive.

For 2004 Alto Lx.
1. Clutch Kit
2. Front Bumper and Head Lamps (Both with and without height adjust from the facelifted type 2)
3. Rear defogger glass from Xcite (2009?)
4. Rear wash wipe full kit (what all parts and price) including the switch on dashboard (would the switch from 1st Gen Wagon R be suitable?)
5. Any cheaper alternative for power steering conversion? MGP kit from Maruti is around 40K, OEM from outside market is 30K.

Sorry, no entry found for Alto Excite's rear windshield. Are you sure it had defogger??
4. No such "kit" or package available. You'll have to retrofit from Alto VXi
5. No idea about aftermarket spares. This thread is only about MGP.

Just confirming. I need the one of the central AC vents not the side vents near the doors. Are these, those?
Another requirement:
Driver side seat belt lock - female.
Mine unlocks randomly.
The one on the right is what I'm looking for
