I think the ASTON MARTIN DB Series surely deserve their place in the sun amongst the best sounding cars!

I voted for "Something else"
I think Ferrari 430 is the best sounding car ever. Rest all are just NOISE (IMO).

purely by the noise its the ferrari f430 then comes the Pagani Zhonda both the exhaust notes are sweet music to my ears.
On the other Hand i absolutely hate the Veyrons exhaust note and the lambos also come in the same category.

2. Lambo Countach with Kreissieg F1 exhaust:
3. BMW M3 CSL with straight pipes:
4. Any Aston V8 Vantage

My Premier Padmini.
Missing her a lot. The exhaust note is not at par with the imports but IMO she sounds orgasmic.

with only straight through pipe

with only straight through pipe (type II)

wasn't loud naa??

Finally - with Headers and FFE (Electra Performance, Chennai)

Lamborghini LP640 & Pagani Zonda F & Porsche Carrera GT.
Please add the option LP640 to the poll. Many(including me) must have chosen 'something else' 'coz of it's absence.

How come i missed all these old threads! In my opinion the best sounding car is the Mitsibishi Evo. The sheer sound of it is enough to shatter window panes! Louder the better!

Of all these I've not heard any. Here is the list of exhaust notes I was fortunate of hearing LIVE - LP640, Porsche Boxster, Audi TT, Audi R8, RR Phantom, Bentley Continental GT, Porsche carrera.

The one that gave me goose was Porsche carrera.. LP640 is pretty close.

You've got the ears that few have! We're in the same boat my friend! The Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 indeed sounds great, but nothing like the 911's sweet sounding six-pack, boxer motor, eh?

Well, apart from the supercars and souped-up imports, nothing beats the epic V8 burble or guttural scream of the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T echoing through the vastness of the Mojave desert! Yes,the magic of Vanishing Point indeed..!

Oh yes, the legend Dodge muscle cars. Actually most muscle cars sound awesome. Thew have a very 'raw' sound thereby making them more masculine! But hey, in Death Proof it was the girls who had the last laugh! All muscle cars have better sound than the new high end exotics i feel.
