Experts !
One guy on orkut tells me that he got K&N typhoon air filter with all plumbing work and he got a turbo fan which is fitted inside air intake pipe.
He also says two such fans can be fitted inside.

What is a turbo fan?? I couldnt find much on google except for some fan used in turbo jet engine.

Kevin, it's one of those little plastic fans that generate absolutely no power or anything. You may actually be 0.0001 seconds slower because you have 50g extra on your car.

yes!

there are lots of gimmicks in the market. at least .. it will block the intake path partially and rob off top end power. at the most .. if it loosens or breaks off due to a simple backfire!!!! it will end up in the engine ..
dont fit it ! simple .

Just went through the whole thread. Very informative and a must read for anybody who cares about performance. It separates the chaff from the wheat.

i have seen a simliar fan(don't know whether its called a turbo fan). According the explanation from the shop fellow, it is fitted in the intake pipe. It has got a low friction fan inside a small bit of a pipe. It rotates freely. Supposedely to be rotated by intake air itself (resistance to air intake initially), possibly builds up momentum and then propels air in using the momentum...bla bla...is what i can think of. but as some one said, energy can neither be created or destroyed....i don't think its useful to a good extend....
I like a proper turbo.

Oh this has got no connection to an actual turbo. Its like a small gimmick to fool people so that those guys can go around saying i have a turbo in the car. LOL

9 more hp for a 180bhp vehicle is just 5% increase, not a tall claim by any standards.
