I am having an OHC AT Exi. I am informed by my garage that power steering fluid has started leaking. What would be the cost of repairs / replacement/

My ac compressor has apparently seized a few days after getting the gas and oil filled because there was a broken o ring in the circuit in front near the bumper..

1. How do I know it has seized and can I find out why it did?
2. Where can I get a compressor from? The quote I got for a new one was 18.5k.. Does anyone know a place or can someone source it for me?

AC compressor should not cost more then 8k-10k including labor. Check with more garages and dealers. Also check your condenser grill, if its rusty and old get it replaced as well to save on gas refilling cost later. It will cost about 4k. At the end, do let us know how much it cost you.

I'll do that. Thanks! The condenser is alright, did check it. Had it replaced a while back.

Hopefully I find a place that can give me the compressor for 8ish. Would be awesome compared the the initial quote :p

@OHC VTEC, Even i am struggling to locate the TPS, it comes only as a complete assembly with the throttle body and Mapping Sensor :Frustrati.Used ones come for 4500 to 5000 at CST road. i am looking at one for myself, PM me if you want in. Try decarbonizing and setting the timing first as well.The TPS is one part which is extremely rare even on CST road. Expect Honda to quote 15K for a brand new one(the Throttle body assembly)

I did already but he seems busy at the moment.

I located one fro 3000 but it is in worse condition compared to mine. The Search is still on.

I experienced similar prob with the TPS a few months ago. I too didn't understand the reason for the fluctuating idle rpm till I had the adjustment done to the tuning screws on the TPS while the car's OBD port was connected to the scanner. While it did rectify the problem 98% the idle still takes a wee bit longer to settle to normal especially on startup than it did before the problem arose.

I figured it was worth it to live with a slight off behaviour once I heard the ridiculous prices honda quoted for the TPS. Even after market rates are petty high I guess.. Not sure if even Shetty Motor keeps or sources it anymore.

Just gave my car for suspension overhaul + break pads replacement. Will update soon with more details. Estimate is about 24k/25k.

Yesterday night when I started my car, I could hear the sound of a liquid flowing from the left side ( near the glove box). So I quickly turned the engine off and the sound stopped. Again I started the car and again I could hear the sound. I started the car after 8 days as was not in town.
Can any body help me with what the issue might be? please:

Does it sound like bubbling circulation sound?? And intermittent.. Not continuous sound of flowing and only during the AC being on? Then it's most likely to do with the AC circulation. My car does it.

No it was continuous for a minute or two, with the A/C being OFF. Didnt check for long. Will try again today. And yes it was like bubbling circulation. Will go home today and check if it re-occurs while driving as well.

My VTEC is completely stock except for the tires which I upsized to Hankook 205/50/R15. My problem is whenever I reach 110 kmph on the highway the car starts to shake. How can I fix this?

I read on wiki that the 1.5 exi and VTEC are D15B engines that have been reduced in power for the Indian market. Was this power electronically limited? Is there a way to "unlock" the extra power?

Also, considering this is now 2014 and the OHC is over a decade old, is it still possible to get performance parts (like GReddy direct bolt on headers, etc.)? I'm in Hyderabad and Pete's has recently set up shop here. I went there with high hopes but one of the advisors shattered my expectations saying there is nothing they can do for my car. Sorry for the drama but this is exactly how I felt. Can someone please give me a list of basic upgrades I can do to improve the power in the low and mid range? Thanks in advance!
