Dear Team,

As you know I bought Pre-owned Zen Vxi Nov 2003, I am ahappy with this car, in past two months I have covered 3480 km, As this is pre-owned car I don’t have service manual for the same.

Plz guide me on how many km I need to change Oli, Air Filer, Coolant ( any other things )

The best would be to change the above mentioned every 5000 km's. Though my best guess is after about 40km's the manual recommends the fulid changes every 10k, but I'm not too sure.

I have done 6k+ since my last change, and will do a fulid change one of these days, just don't get the time.

The good part is, it's a work horse and will just keep going and never break down on you, however don't expect too much from the A/C.

I change Engine oil every 5,000kms. Gearbox oil every 20,000kms. Brake fluid either topup with the same oil or change ever 20K kms.
Coolant I top up everytime if falls just before the Low mark. say 5K kms.
Air filter also 5K.
Estimate service cost for 5K service
Engine oil - around 600 Rs ..
Coolant - around 200Rs..
Air filter - around 150 Rs
Oil filter - around 150 Rs..
Wheel alignment+balancing - 300 Rs...

Forgot to add ...
Mine is a carburate Zen

Sushrutha

I think the cost of allignment/ balancing is too much.
Here for allignment they charge Rs 100 and Rs 50 for Balancing + the cost of weights.

Car has done 42390 km ( when i bought it was 38910, i did change oil, oil filter, coolent, airfilter at same time )

Allignment cost Rs 100 for 1 wheel or for all ? and for balancing Rs 50 per wheel ?? how much total cost goes ?

Can somebody suggest good wheel Allignment ,balancing center in Borivali ( Mumbai ) ?

Yep I do agree.
For me alignment costs Rs 150.
For balancing it ranges based on the weights ... If i remember properly for my Mag wheel balancing(weight is like sticker) it costs around 3rs/gm or (correct me if i'm wrong)

And the free checkup is for 2000kms on alignment

Alignment is for all the wheels. Balancing all four + sparewheel
so total cost will be in the range of 250 Rs +
Mine is almost always above 300 Rs +

Hi, I would like some advice about Servicing of my car.I have just done around 9500Kms and its more than 2 yrs.Purchase date 15 Jan 2007.According to the Maruti Suzuki manual 4th service(1st paid) is due when car is 24 months or 20000km.I have done all other 3 free service at 1.first month(763km) 2.6th month(20/7/07)3647km. 3.one year15/02/2008(5928kms).There has been no problems so far...
Its now 2yrs but just run 9500 kms. Please advice if i need to change engine oil, brake oil, transmission oil etc...the manual says 24 months or 20000kms.After the 3rd service my car has run very little.and no problem..just some noises at front right side..which i would get it checked when having the service done this month.
Please advice..Thank you

@binoyjude: We have had similar situations. My recommendation is Service + oil + filter once a year or 10,000km (whichever is earlier). Brake Fluid & coolant: one in two years. We have used this for all our cars - typical mileage <8500 a year, once they are out of warranty. Other things - essentially on mileage.

Get your vehicle serviced as it completes 2years. Also change the fluids as per the specification

Just change the fluids, Zen by the way is a no problem car, as long as you do the basic's, like regular chainging of fluids, it'll keep going, and yes try to keep the car running even if a little.

Got the Car Service From Competent Automobiles,Mehruli,New Delhi.Engine Oil,Collant replaced and fuel injector cleaned.Break oil, gear oil they told me topup is enough as my car is run only 9500kms.i had given the car at 10 Am and got all done by around 5:30PM...I was checking on them while things were done. But i am still not convinced they have done all.
I had asked the service Supervisor if they dont need the service manual slip and need tick each one of things listed there..He told that is not required as this is Paid service.they do it only in free services. Can anyone tell me please whats this fuel injector cleaning??And is this seprate??other than normal Service?Rs.475.00??
I dont think they check all things as per the service shedule....The supervisor just lists few things to be check and replaced in the service sheet and i think that is the only things that gets done by the machanic. Is this right way??
I think i would never return to this service station again.....And now i see that Ac Fan is giving some noise..this wasn't there untill now...??
If this is way they service even when customer is waiting and check while getting the car service.I wonder how most of other cars get service which people just trust them and leave it at Competent.Uuffff!!!!

Total Bill Rs.2568.Here is breakdown of the bill.
